Book Description
Happy Endings is a collection of forty stories about people who said good-bye in unique and uplifting ways. This is not to say their narratives—generously shared with the author by families and caregivers—are without pain and sorrow. Yet, the final stage of life holds remarkable possibilities to strengthen bonds between loved ones and confirm our faith in the hereafter. An elderly woman prepares a magnificent deathbed of rose petals from bouquets in her sickroom . . . a young boy climbs aboard a pony only he and his mother can see . . . a delirious man hands his daughter a piece of tissue in the perfect likeness of an angel. Dying is the natural conclusion to life, and these stories invite you to re‐examine your own perception of death. Most of all, they remind us that, while our time here on Earth is temporary, our spiritual existence is not. The publication of Happy Endings led to the discovery of more stories in the same vein and a second volume, More Happy Endings, containing an additional forty-five stories, followed the first. Here, both volumes are brought together in a single package.

Book Description
The Angel was written as a fairytale, but contains elements of truth, in the way God may possibly use angels in people's daily lives. This idea comes directly from scripture as written throughout the Bible, in which angels appeared to people, prophets, and animals. In this tale, the angel and animals are able to speak to one another and conversations flow freely. The book traces the activities of Dionysius, an angel, as he orchestrates the lives of those God entrusts to him. The story begins by explaining who Dionysius is and commences with the peculiar way in which he meets the main characters. His somewhat humorous encounter with Hercules, the large shire-horse, and Phinehas, the mastiff dog, takes place on a farm belonging to old Ma Bond. After questioning the animals, Dionysius finds the old lady and her granddaughter, little Rosie, are living in very dire circumstances. The angel, seeing the predicament, takes charge. After receiving instructions from God, he begins to arrange events to benefit Rosie, who is soon unfortunately orphaned by her grandmother's demise, her parents being deceased. The story details the incidents after her grandmother's death, introducing two more very important characters, a husband and wife, Sam and Beverly Harris, who have been praying for a child. As the tale progresses, more characters enter who help the little girl. Having no family alive and nowhere to call home, Rosie is forced to stay at the local orphanage, where she makes friends. During this time, a terrible fire disrupts life at the orphanage. Will Rosie find a new home, and will Sam and Beverly get the child they have been praying for, or will the difficulties be too great? Throughout the book, horses, dogs, and cats play an important role alongside the people, and the mastiff, Phinehas, remains Rosie's faithful companion and guardian. The angel, Dionysius, plays a vital role in everyone's lives, weaving in and out of the story at intervals, following God's instructions. The book concentrates on love, healing and forgiveness, repentance, and the salvation message, as explained in the Bible in the gospel of John, Chapter 3, where Jesus explains "....unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Book Description
Juel Jones could play a guitar the first time she picked one up, but nobody ever knew. A beautiful girl from a troubled family, she gets lost in the world at an early age and sells herself for money. Living in a dingy motel, barely nineteen years old, she writes the first two verses of a song that will one day be heard by the world. Her audience, a stray yellow cat. Working in a massage parlor a thousand miles from home, Juel sets out hitchhiking in a fit of anger when along comes Sammy Reed. Twenty-one the day the story begins, Sammy is drifting through life in the aftermath of an unthinkable family tragedy, California bound from North Carolina in a windowless 69 Camaro. Over the next six months and several thousand miles, things happen in the lives of these two beautiful losers that cant be logically explained. Things such as the song and its incredible, mysterious journey from the back of a brown paper sack to a number one hit. As the writer of this story I attempt to raise a number of interesting possibilities. The characters I use and the things they do, and say, will offend some people, I know. In their defense Id simply say that I personally believe God meant everybody to matter. Everybody.
