Today, this frozen product is avail able to consumers at thousands of food stores, restaurants, and refreshment bars throughout the country. In the. 1952 - 53 season, it accounted for more than 40 percent of all frozen food sales, and was purchased by about 'a third of all American families. Consumer acceptance, together with multiplying retail outlets, give the industry reason to believe that sales will continue to expand.
