Book Description
Providing a new perspective on quantum field theory, this book is useful for graduate students and researchers within and outside the field. It describes non-perturbative methods, and explores two-dimensional and four-dimensional gauge dynamics using those methods. Applications are thoroughly described.

Book Description
The development in our understanding of symmetry principles is reviewed. Many symmetries, such as charge conjugation, parity and strangeness, are no longer considered as fundamental but as natural consequences of a gauge field theory of strong and electromagnetic interactions. Other symmetries arise naturally from physical models in some limiting situation, such as for low energy or low mass. Random dynamics and attempts to explain all symmetries — even Lorentz invariance and gauge invariance — without appealing to any fundamental invariance of the laws of nature are discussed. A selection of original papers is reprinted.

Book Description
Filling an important gap in the literature, this comprehensive text develops conformal field theory from first principles. The treatment is self-contained, pedagogical, and exhaustive, and includes a great deal of background material on quantum field theory, statistical mechanics, Lie algebras and affine Lie algebras. The many exercises, with a wide spectrum of difficulty and subjects, complement and in many cases extend the text. The text is thus not only an excellent tool for classroom teaching but also for individual study. Intended primarily for graduate students and researchers in theoretical high-energy physics, mathematical physics, condensed matter theory, statistical physics, the book will also be of interest in other areas of theoretical physics and mathematics. It will prepare the reader for original research in this very active field of theoretical and mathematical physics.

Book Description
This book deals with fields which possess different spins so, that there is an additional internal symmetry of such schemes. The main feature of theories with multi-spin is that transformations of the Lorentz and internal symmetry groups do not commute each other. So, parameters of the group are tensors but not scalars as in the more common-gauge theories. This kind of symmetry is also different from supersymmetry where group parameters are not scalars. The difference is that in this case the algebra of generators of the symmetry is closed without adding the generators of the Poincaré group. Consideration of schemes of fields with multi-spin possess some attractive features and avoid some difficulties but the price of this is the presence of the indefinite metric. It should be noted that some quantum theories of gravity also require the introduction of an indefinite metric. The localisation of parameters of the internal symmetry group leads to the gauge fields and field interactions. In Part II solutions are found for equations for particles with different spins in external classical and quantified electromagnetic fields, as well as the interaction of fields with multi-spin with external electromagnetic fields of different configurations.

Book Description
This volume presents articles from several lectures presented at the school on ``Quantum Symmetries in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics'' held in Bariloche, Argentina. The various lecturers provided significantly different points of view on several aspects of Hopf algebras, quantum group theory, and noncommutative differential geometry, ranging from analysis, geometry, and algebra to physical models, especially in connection with integrable systems and conformal field theories.Primary topics discussed in the text include subgroups of quantum $SU(N)$, quantum ADE classifications and generalized Coxeter systems, modular invariance, defects and boundaries in conformal field theory, finite dimensional Hopf algebras, Lie bialgebras and Belavin-Drinfeld triples, real forms ofquantum spaces, perturbative and non-perturbative Yang-Baxter operators, braided subfactors in operator algebras and conformal field theory, and generalized ($d$) cohomologies.
