This report summarizes the findings of a national benchmarking study on physician-hospital alignment strategies conducted by Mitretek Healthcare, a division of Mitretek Systems, Inc. The survey identified more than 160 strategies that hospitals are using to help strengthen physician-hospital relationships and asked respondents to rate their effectiveness. Responses were received from more than 350 hospital chief executive officers, physician leaders, and physician relations, planning, and marketing executives. In addition, in-depth telephone interviews were conducted with more than 40 survey respondents.
