In the end, which is the beginning, he can't let go of the past, and she can't let go of the facts. It's unclear which is healthier everyone concerned--for two of them to stay together, for them to get as far away from each other as they can. But hey, it's a fun ride along the way (said no one who's ever been in an abusive relationship like this).
