Book Description
Soulless clones will arrive in the near future and change everything. A clone without a soul will reveal, once and for all, that we humans have souls. Dualism is true - we are body and soul. Materialism is false - we are not just a body. Soulless clones can't tell time because souls tell time. The mega theory in this book also reveals the schools of Philosophy, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Science, Judaism, Christianism, Islamism, and Taoism share a core belief in Trinitarianism. Trinitarianism tells us things come in threes. These great schools teach us that we follow three drives in life: creation - we let the truth be known; worship - we are good for goodness sake; and survival - we live and let live. The schools say we must balance creation, worship, and survival to advance on our coiled path in life to the perfection of God - The Divine Providence, Spirit, and Physique. Previous authors have already provided an assortment of mega theories including Plato, Aquinas, Maimonides, Hume, and Kant, but their theories routinely exclude significant portions of our longstanding Theologies, Philosophies, and Sciences. The mega theory within is more inclusive. No stones go unturned. Who is God? What are we doing? And why are we doing it? This theory includes Evolution, The Three Wise Men, The EPR Effect in Quantum Mechanics, The Divine Ratio, and Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man - he plays a role in presenting the coiled path before us. Other authors including Descartes, Kirk, Searle, Chalmers, and more recently Hauser have proposed hypothetical soulless creatures in the likes of computerized humans and philosophical zombies to help delineate Dualism from Materialism, but their creatures are far too hypothetical to be taken seriously. Soulless clones of humans, however, must be taken seriously because they will arrive in just a few decades, and they are true counterexamples of materialisms claims. So, we should be prepared, and this book helps prepare us. It is a relaxed narrative written with the excitement of discovery. The young and old will find it's easy to read whether atheist, deist, or theist. It should appeal to not only Catholics, my religion, but all theologians, philosophers, and scientists will find it's hard to put down. Parents will love it, along with those in Business, Medicine, Law, Education, Politics and more. It's comparable to Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, The Tipping Point, The World's Religions, and the recent Pulitzer Prize winner, The Swerve. Like Orwell's 1984, everyone loves a book that predicts future trends.

Book Description
This debut sci-fi novel by the Nebula and Locus Award–winning author of The Shore of Women follows five human clones in an unforgiving world. Shock and outrage greet Paul Swenson’s announcement of the success of his latest and most controversial scientific endeavor. Having taken advantage of a brief lull in legislative restrictions, the renowned astrophysicist and a team of bioscientists have created five human clones—four males and one female—from Swenson’s own genetic material. From the moment Michael, Edward, Albert, James, and Kira Swenson are revealed to the world, they are viewed with hostility and suspicion. Growing up under the heavy yoke of specialness, the five exceptional human “experiments” have no one but each other to turn to for emotional support. Then tragedy strikes and everything falls apart . . . Now Kira and her brothers must follow their destinies down separate, divergent paths. Heading out into a world that never welcomed them, each clone is intent on pursuing knowledge, career, family—all the desired elements of a so-called normal life. But they cannot escape their shared past, because the true purpose behind Paul Swenson’s remarkable achievement remains shrouded in shadow. And his children are prepared to travel to the ends of the Earth and beyond for an answer to the question that has always haunted them: Why were we made?

A Comrade Lost and Found
Author: Jan Wong
Publisher: HMH
ISBN: 0547488629
Category : Biography & Autobiography
Languages : en
Pages : 341
Book Description
A “suspenseful, elegantly written” account of the author’s return to China after thirty years to search for the woman she betrayed to the authorities (Publishers Weekly, starred review). In the early 1970s, at the height of the Cultural Revolution, Jan Wong traveled from Canada to Beijing University—where she would become one of only two Westerners permitted to study. One day a fellow student, Yin Luoyi, asked for her help getting to the United States. Wong, then a starry-eyed Maoist from Montreal, immediately reported her to the authorities, and shortly thereafter Yin disappeared. Thirty-three years later, hoping to make amends, Wong revisits the Chinese capital to search for the person who has haunted her conscience. At the very least, she wants to discover whether Yin survived. But Wong finds the new Beijing bewildering. Phone numbers, addresses, and even names change with startling frequency. In a society determined to bury the past, Yin Luoyi will be hard to find. As Wong traces her way from one former comrade to the next, she unearths not only the fate of the woman she betrayed but the strange and dramatic transformation of contemporary China. In this memoir, she tells how her journey rekindled all of her love for—and disillusionment with—her ancestral land. “Gone is the semirural capital where the author’s ‘revolutionary’ course of study included bouts of hard labor and ‘self criticism’ sessions. In its place are eight-lane expressways lit up ‘like Christmas trees,’ shiny skyscrapers and the largest shopping mall in the world. Wong is a gifted storyteller, and hers is a deeply personal and richly detailed eyewitness account of China’s journey to glossy modernity.” —Publishers Weekly, starred review

A NEW ORDER IS RISING... Kandi failed to protect Earth, Juan, and her true name. Now she serves under the control of TIME, who wishes to manipulate all mortals into serving him, thereby granting him the power to conquer worlds without end. Juan is a Hero in some circles and a traitor in others. For over a decade he has been a slave on an alien world, and he has lost any drop of hope he had left after the demolition of Earth. It is not until the announcement of a new Monarch who shall reunite the last Six Worlds that a spark of hope returns within him. When LEISIL, the new goddess of Appetite, chooses him as her Mate, the spark is once again snuffed from existence, and it is all he can do to simply survive day to day. The galaxy is in peril, and only Kandi and Juan together can save it. Unfortunately, every immortal being is working tirelessly to pull them farther apart. It is only a matter of time before DARKNESS, an entity which grows parallel to the willful depravity of souls, consumes the very source of light in the cosmos. Will Kandi be able to break the bonds of Time and save all mortal souls? And will Juan be able to muster hope in an ever-darkening world?
