Book Description
Excerpt from Eleventh Annual Report of the Industrial Accident Board: For the Twelve Months Ending June 30th, 1926 During the fiscal year ending June 30, 1926, accidents were reported to and handled by the Board. This is 988 more cases than were handled during the preceding year and is by far the greatest number of accidents handled in any single year since the creation of the department. The total amount paid out in compensation under all plans was $750, during the year. This is a far larger compensation disbursement than has heretofore been made in any single year. It is approximately more than the disbursement for the preceding fiscal year. The increased disbursement is due, of course, to two causes. First, the increased number of accidents and secondly, the fact that the last legisla ture liberalized and increased the amount of compensation benefit pay able in many cases.
