L'approche thérapeutique des réhabilitations du plan d'occlusion est fréquemment pluridisciplinaire, et fera intervenir plusieurs praticiens, agissant en coopération autour d'un plan de traitement où chaque problème est identifié et hiérarchisé. Nous verrons, à travers la mécanique et les indications cliniques, que l'apport de l'orthodontie permet au chirugien-dentiste de travailler dans chaque splère oro-buccale optimisée. Enfin, le traitement doit choisir et, si possible, atteindre des critères occlusaux de finition favorable à la stabilité.
