John Hall, and his equally patriotic wife, Jemima (Kinney) Hall. He died Aug. 6, 1777, one month after he was wounded at the Battle of Hubbardton. His wife, after having received many indignities at the hands of the British and Indians, and the loss of her property, lived to a good old age, and died Nov.17, 1807. John Hall was born at Plainfield, Conn., May 27, 1723. He was the son of Samuel Hall and Abigail Fellows. Samuel Hall, of Plainfield, was probably son of Samuel Hall of Stow, (born 1665), and he the son of Stephen Hall, of Stow, who was the son of Widow Mary Hall, the emigrant. John Hall was married at Plainfield, on June 29, 1744, to Olive Spaulding, They had two children: Olive, born May 22, 1745. John, born July 3, 1747.
