Nous proposons ici de définir la conception actuelle du modèle de travail enprothèse fixée. Nous déterminons ainsi sa place au sein de la chaine prothétique.Ce travail commence par l'étude des matériaux utilisés pour l'obtention derépliques servant à la réalisation d'éléments prothétiques : leurs propriétés etleur comportement physico-chimique.Elle traite ensuite de protocoles de manipulation de ces matériaux, en regardde leurs propriétés, afin d'optimiser leur utilisation comme matériaux de réplique; cette étude concerne les résines époxy, polyuréthanes et les plâtres type IV.En regard de ces observations, nous tentons alors de définir les avantages et inconvénients des dispositifs utilisés pour la réalisation des modèles de travail au laboratoire de prothèse dentaire.Ces dispositifs s'appuyant sur différents concepts de fractionnement pour l'obtention de M.P.U.Enfin, au travers de ses techniques d'acquisition et de traitement, nous étudierons la place qu'occupe actuellement le modèle numérique de travail qui tend à remplacer les modèles physiques jusqu'ici incontournables.
