"El estudio sobre la criminalidad femenina se ha abordado muy poco, incluso siendo tan evidente la evolución rápida, contante e impactante de la conducta ilícita de mujeres, quienes son cada vez más jóvenes. Por lo tanto, es imprescindible que se realicen investigaciones sobre esta problemática, desde la multidisciplinariedad y multifactorialidad. Considerar igualmente, las historias de vida de las encarceladas, con la consecuente victimación de que han sido objeto, para explicar las causas y factores que han participado en la generación de conductas delictivas. Además de esto, realizar un planteamiento idóneo del tratamiento penitenciario para ellas, de acuerdo a sus necesidades y perfil femenino; así como políticas públicas y criminales, con una adecuada prevención, desde una visión más “humanitaria”, con perspectiva de género y respeto a los Derechos Humanos. Analizar y exponer temas relacionados con la violencia y la criminalidad, nos da un panorama más claro sobre el problema planteado, desde una perspectiva actual y una percepción centrada en la mujer como “ser humano”, en los mecanismos protectores que deben de proveer el Estado, la familia, la sociedad, desde la niñez, para la prevención de la victimación y violencia, así como de la criminalidad femenina. Es lo que se trata de explicar en este libro, procurando tener una mente más abierta en este análisis profundo, para un buen entendimiento y comprensión del lector; invitándolo a participar activamente en este asunto que es de todos, mediante la realización de investigaciones, que nos ayuda a identificar las razones que llevan a una mujer a convertirse en delincuente, a no juzgarlas, sino empatizar con la vida cargada de discriminación, violencia y segregación. To mark the long history of Dominican involvement in defence of human rights, in the year celebrating the 800th anniversary of the confirmation of the Order of Preachers, two hundred Dominican brothers, sisters and laity met in Salamanca, Spain, to discuss the contribution of the Dominican Order, in the past, present and future, in the promotion and defence of human rights. This book examines the roots of systemic aggression against women in contemporary Mexico, and the connection between social practices and the institutional permissiveness of the Mexican State with regard to gendered violence. Since the democratic transition at the end of the 1990s, Mexico has registered an increase in the intensity and types of violence that have made life in some regions almost unsustainable. The chapters in this volume consider that capitalism, colonialism and patriarchy are interrelated processes that employ the technologies of gender and race as a continuation of the symbolic hegemony that treats feminized and racialized bodies as disposable. Against this background, it becomes necessary to understand from different dimensions the systemic violence against women as well as the processes of articulation between social practices and the permissiveness of the State in the face of aggression. Gender-Based Violence in Mexico mobilizes a dialogue between writings, fields of knowledge, causes and situations as essential tools for the struggle against gender violence. As a situated work that underlines the systematic roots of the violence that keeps women in subaltern positions, the text seeks an insurrection, an uprising of the bodies that invite naming the abject, peripheral and unseen populations of the project of globalized life, woven by the obsession of success and prestige. It presents a counter-conclusion in the manner of a beginning in the desire to elaborate counter-political and counter-pedagogical strategies of non-coercive experiences, where questions and debates are not a sign of belligerence but of vitality and care for the body-territories.
