Book Description
During the last decades frontieres in various branches of physics have been investigated, especially for describing coherent effects, with very similar methodologies. In particular, the quantum-like formalism has recently received a great deal of attention for describing a number of 'classical topics', such as charged particle beam optics and dynamics in accelerating machines, plasma physics, nonlinear optics, transmission lines, solid state physics. On the other hand, proper quantum models that have been applied to coherent correlated states, squeezed states, macroscopic quantum coherence in superconductivity, superradiance in condensed matter, stochastic mechanics, have also been recently developed in way fully similar to the one used for quantum-like models. The quantum-like approach seems, therefore, to form a common basis for understanding the observations in many diverse field of science. This volume collects very significant examples of these common methodologies that have been given by various quantum-like approaches for describing numerious physical scenarios in the above branches of physics.

Book Description
This volume is devoted to the use of the quantum-like description that has been successful in describing numerous physical scenarios in many branches of physics, including the dynamics of charged particle beams in accelerators and the propagation of electromagnetic wave energy in nonlinear media such as plasmas and optical fibres. The quantum-like approach seems, therefore, to form a common basis for understanding the observations in many diverse field of science.

Book Description
This monograph, "Non-linear Cooperative Effects in Open Quantum Systems: Entanglement and Second Order Coherence" is dedicated to the large auditory of specialists interested in the modern approaches in quantum open systems, cooperative phenomena between excited atoms and the field of the non-linear interaction. Special attention is dedicated to the problems of non-linear interaction with vacuum fields and thermostat with finite temperature, but quantum aspects of laser generation of light in non-linear interaction with finite numbers of cavity modes remain the center of attention. In many situations, the limit to the traditional cooperative phenomena of open quantum systems and thermodynamics are taken into consideration. As the book contains the class of non-linear effects of generations of the particle in such cooperative phenomena, the author's aim was to describe squeezed problems and affect entanglement between the generation photons and phonons in cooperative processes. The new phenomenon of cooperative emission in the single- and two-quantum processes are carefully described for large audiences of specialists in the field of quantum optics and condensed matter physics, chemistry and biology.

Book Description
The recent years have been characterized by stormy social protests throughout the world. These protests have some commonalities, but at the same time, their sociopolitical, psychological, and economic contexts differ essentially. An important class of such protests is known as color revolutions. The analysis of these events in social and political literature is characterized by huge diversity of opinions. We remark that the sociopolitical perturbations under consideration are characterized by the cascade dynamics leading to the exponential amplification of coherent social actions. In quantum physics, such exponential and coherent amplification is the basic feature of laser’s functioning. (“Laser” is acronym for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation). In this book we explore the theory of laser to model aforementioned waves of social protests, from color revolutions to Brexit and Trump’s election. We call such social processes Stimulated Amplification of Social Actions (SASA), but to keep closer to the analogy with physics we merely operate with the term “social laser.”

Book Description
This work presents a series of dramatic discoveries never before made public. Starting from a collection of simple computer experiments---illustrated in the book by striking computer graphics---Wolfram shows how their unexpected results force a whole new way of looking at the operation of our universe. Wolfram uses his approach to tackle a remarkable array of fundamental problems in science: from the origin of the Second Law of thermodynamics, to the development of complexity in biology, the computational limitations of mathematics, the possibility of a truly fundamental theory of physics, and the interplay between free will and determinism.
