The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for governments to generate the necessary capacity to address important security and institutional challenges; this volume deepens our understanding of the nature and extent of state governance in Latin America. This book analyses the war against drugs, violence in streets, schools and families, and mining conflicts in Latin America.
