Jacob laboured hard under his uncle, Leban for fourteen years until when he had divine touch, immediately his story changed to glory. (Gen.28:11-18). Isaac's servants and by extension, Isaac were frustrated in their effort in digging wells until he had open heaven. (Gen.26:13-27). Jesus Christ had an open heaven before He commenced His ministry on earth. When He had been baptized, Jesus Christ came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him (Matt.3:16). A classic example of a biblical character that experienced open heaven was Isaac: "Then Isaac sowed in the land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. The man began to prosper and continued prospering until he became prosperous; For he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants, so the Philistines envied him (Gen.26:12-13). Whereas, Naomi became the exact opposite. Naomi lost her husband, Elimelech untimely. Not long after, she lost two of her sons; Mahlon and Chilion and in an agony of heart, she said, "I went out full, and the LORD has brought me home again empty, why do you call me Naomi, since the LORD has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?" (Ruth.1:21)
