Book Description
Solutions of mainstream flow patterns for all possible incompressible laminar-boundary-layer flows having classical similarity with respect to rectangular coordinate systems are derived. These solutions, which apply to a wide range of flows, are summarized in table form.

Tabulation of Mass-flow Parameters for Use in Design of Turbomachine Blade Rows for Ratios of Specific Heats of 1.3 and 1.4
Author: Warren J. Whitney
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Aerofoils
Languages : en
Pages : 716
Book Description
Mass-flow tables for ratios of specific heats of 1.3 and 1.4 are presented for the entire range of critical velocity ratio. The tables enable a quick and accurate determination of the integrated average specific mass flow across a region where the end-point velocities are known, commensurate with the assumptions that the total state is constant and the static pressure varies linearly between the two velocities. A numerical example is included to illustrate the use of the tables. All quantities are in nondimensional form and are tabulated sgainst critical velocity ratio. The tables include specific-mass-flow parameter and ratio of static to total pressure.

Category : Combustion
Languages : en
Pages : 644
Book Description
At -40 degrees F, several blends of aromatic amines with triethylamine show promise as ignitor fuels with mixed acid (nitric acid plus sulfuric acid) and red fuming nitric acid} and some of these fuels may be useful also with white fuming nitric acid.

Separation of Flow
Author: Paul K. Chang
Publisher: Elsevier
ISBN: 1483181286
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 800
Book Description
Interdisciplinary and Advanced Topics in Science and Engineering, Volume 3: Separation of Flow presents the problem of the separation of fluid flow. This book provides information covering the fields of basic physical processes, analyses, and experiments concerning flow separation. Organized into 12 chapters, this volume begins with an overview of the flow separation on the body surface as discusses in various classical examples. This text then examines the analytical and experimental results of the laminar boundary layer of steady, two-dimensional flows in the subsonic speed range. Other chapters consider the study of flow separation on the two-dimensional body, flow separation on three-dimensional body shape and particularly on bodies of revolution. This book discusses as well the analytical solutions of the unsteady flow separation. The final chapter deals with the purpose of separation flow control to raise efficiency or to enhance the performance of vehicles and fluid machineries involving various engineering applications. This book is a valuable resource for engineers.
