After William and Mary's acces sion, however, he had returned and settled again at The Leas. From this union one child was born, a boy, who was christened Gilbert, after a remote ancestor. Lawrence did not survive long after his son's birth, as he died from a fall in the hunting held, and the care and education, therefore, of the boy devolved entirely upon his mother.
