Delano) taken possession, in defiance of their numbers, and conducted her out of the harbour, under the continual fire of two strong batteries of twenty-four pounders, which did us much damage in sails and rigging. At 6 p. M. got out of gun-shot, rounded to, and permitted tbe prisoner* to depart.
