At a time like this when the efforts in Nigeria and, indeed, the entire world to curb the menace of drug abuse and trafficking appear to be less than adequate, the need to properly understand the subject before deploying states apparatus becomes paramount. Illegal psychoactive substances and illicit prescription drugs are currently used on a daily basis all over the world.
