She sees it as a place of refuge and security, especially now that John has returned. Susan has a secret that she must share with John which will cause their destiny to become permanently connected. One bright spot in the visit for John is the chance meeting with Jill, his high school sweetheart. Although Jill has remained in their town, she could not help but wonder of the life that could have been. Happiness is relative and for John and Jill, their what if, becomes an excuse for passion and sex. But can chances lost help to establish a potential future? He doesn’t believe Alex has the best interest of her family, their community, or the bar’s legacy in mind. To protect all three, he’ll stand up to the tough and tattooed bartender with whom he now shares a bedroom wall—and resist the insta-lust they both feel. But when an old enemy threatens Loretta’s and the surrounding neighborhood, Alex and Jeremiah must combine forces. It will take her might and his mind to save the home they both desperately need. "Sparks fly and tempers flare in this passionate, un-put-downable rivals-to-lovers romance that launches a sizzling new series...Lopez seamlessly blends high-heat romance with discussions of Alex’s heritage and the fascinating history of 19th-century Mexican immigrants to the Kansas plains. Book Description
A New York Times Notable Book of the Year “A candid, often painful depiction of a daughter’s struggles to come to terms with her powerful and emotionally troubled mother”—the Pulitzer Prize–winning poet Anne Sexton (New York Times). This is an honest, unsparing memoir of the anguish and fierce love that bound a difficult mother and the daughter she left behind. Linda Sexton was 21 when her mother killed herself, and now she looks back, remembers, and tries to come to terms with her mother’s life. Growing up with Anne Sexton was a wild mixture of suicidal depression and manic happiness, inappropriate behavior and midnight trips to the psychiatric ward. Anne taught Linda how to write, how to see, how to imagine—and only Linda could have written a book that captures so vividly the intimate details and lingering emotions of their life together. Searching for Mercy Street speaks to everyone who admires Anne Sexton and to every daughter or son who knows the pain of an imperfect childhood.

Book Description
Prehistoric monsters show up in the weirdest places! Welcome to the world of Dinosaurs On My Street, where life goes on as normal except that... dinosaurs roam the city streets. This colorful book about dinosaurs is for young readers. And what child doesn't enjoy dinosaurs? Each book uses amazing computer artwork to place the dinosaurs in a modern city environment of buildings, cars, trucks, fire engines, parks and construction sites. Dogs and people of all sizes and ages are in awe of the huge creatures. The dinosaur illustrations are accurate in relative size, shape and color. Readers get a real sense of how enormous dinosaurs were -- bigger than buildings with tails as long as a city block and jaws that could swallow a car in one gulp. Simple descriptive text is in big clear letters for young readers. A pronunciation guide helps with the dinosaurs' tongue-twisting names and a picture compares each dinosaur's height with that of a child. The colorful full-page drawings, however, are the main attraction. Thirty scenes of street settings with lots of action and people in the familiar activities of day-to-day life will engage all dinosaur fans. Dinosaurs On My Street is a fun face-to-face meeting with the giants of prehistory as they overrun our city streets.
