Book Description
If a picture is worth a thousand words, imagine the power of three pictures at a time. Which is exactly what former graphic designer turned teacher and leadership team member Ben Keeling has done. As thought provoking as it is simple, this book combines an expert knowledge of schools and learning, an enviable talent for graphic design and a keen sense of irony. First spotted by Independent Thinking founder Ian Gilbert following a Twitter exchange that stretched between Chile, the UK and Indonesia, this ground-breaking book uses three simple 'doodles' per page, each on a separate sticky note, to highlight key issues. Simple yet contagious, this book re-writes the rules when it comes to the literature of school improvement and should be on the desk of every school leader and teacher.

Book Description
Creativity, passion, and perseverance have been constant companions in my journey to depict, represent, and render the throbbing imaginative narratives that I conceptualized in my mind from time to time. In this collection, I bring together several memories of yesteryears and take you along on my voyage during the past decades through my design and sketches. I have never formally attended any school of fine arts, but I do have my share of inspirations. Aayush, my school-going son, has been a true friend and a source of inspiration. His love, affection, and trust in me have indeed motivated me. His sincere and honest feedback on my creations has helped me improve and better myself. He does have some sparkling contributions to this project. This book is dedicated to my parents for putting up a brave front through all odds and for their sheer efforts in overcoming all hardships and for shaping me into a person that I am today. I hope you enjoy! Happy coloring!

Book Description
This story is about a child that was never expected to survive polio and the support that his parents and others gave him through his recovery. It is also about God's hand in the miracle of life and the blessings of his foundation in God and the teachings of the Bible. In the darkest time of his illness, God reached into a gray–black lake and brought him back to life. This story describes how his family remained ever hopeful for his recovery even when being told he had died and later being told he would only live for a few more days. Within days of being told he was still alive, his parents were informed his life expectancy would be a few months or years. Without their belief in hard work, self-reliance, and God's plan, they would never have been able to cope with the severity of bulbar polio. His family's strong belief that God had a plan for them gave him hope that would lead him through the recovery process. It tells the story of what the poliovirus did to him physically, mentally, and spiritually and how he and his family responded to it. God never left their side through the exhausting trials of learning to speak and move again. This story also explains the long-lingering effects of post-polio syndrome and how it still plays a role in his life and as well as many other survivors. Throughout the story, hope is ever-present in him, and it reflects how hope gave him the strength to survive and improve through the pain of the recovery process.

Book Description
Coloring outside the Lines critically looks at mentoring from the perspective of women who have been historically marginalized in school leadership, and grounds itself in a variety of experiences, including those of women school leaders of color. Using a feminist poststructuralist framework, the authors deconstruct the mentoring of women within the culture of K-12 public school administration in which they work. Providing arguments that mentoring has been and can be discriminatory, the authors explore it as a vehicle for transformation and change in education leadership rather than abandoning it completely.

Detailed lessons--developed and tested in classrooms over many years--build on one another in a logical progression and explore the elements of texture, color, shape, line, form, and value, and principles such as balance (formal, informal and radial, ) unity, contrast, movement, distortion, emphasis, pattern and rhythm. Each lesson also represents an interdisciplinary approach that improves general vocabulary and supports science, math, social studies, and language arts.
