Heaven and Earth
Author: Michael Scantlebury
Publisher: Word Alive Press
ISBN: 1486622321
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 49
Book Description
Whenever we today in this 21st Century read about heaven and earth in the Scriptures we need to be careful as to exactly what is being referred to. And here are some reasons as to why this must be. The original Bible was not written in our modern English, which is a far different language than Hebrew and Greek the original languages of the Holy Scriptures. Hence the reason for us to become avid students of the Word of God. We, living today are not the original recipients of Scripture and as such we need to understand what the original recipients understood when they first received that Word. We must be willing to let the Bible interpret itself and not hang on to our theories for the Scriptures. That the Bible speaks of at least four Heavens and three earths. And as such we need to dig deep into the Word of God and find them and apply this understanding in our study. Remember what the Scriptures say in Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal the word, and the glory of kings to search out the speech. With that said let us now take a deeper dive and journey into the Word of God with the intention of extracting much needed revelation concerning these Heavens and Earths.

Fathers and Sons
Author: Michael Scantlebury
Publisher: Word Alive Press
ISBN: 148662281X
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 110
Book Description
As we embark upon this study, there is something I would like for us to first understand, and it is this: God the Father is the ultimate Father. There has never been anyone like Him, nor is there currently anyone like Him, nor will there ever be anyone like Him. He is in a class all by Himself. Another thing we need to understand moving forward is this: respect produced by force and domination is not respect but fear. Also, when we speak of sons, we are not only referring to the male gender but a new class in God: those who have been washed by the blood of Jesus and entered the New Covenant with Him. Notice that the Scriptures never state "sons and daughters of God." John 1:12 states, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." As such, I believe that women can also be apostles, and in a broader scope they qualify to "father" should that mantle be upon them.

Are We Living in the End Times or Final Days?
Author: Michael Scantlebury
Publisher: Word Alive Press
ISBN: 1486623182
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 131
Book Description
Whenever we hear about the "end-times" or the "last days," it conjures up all kinds of images in our minds. We may think of the universe blowing up with the largest flame imaginable, ushering in a new heaven and a new earth. We have presupposed in the body of Christ that the righteous will be raptured away before all of this occurs, leaving the world to face a massive fire of destruction. Upon hearing Christians mention the last days, many just assume they're referring to the end of time, and the end of the world. But the attentive Bible student will ask, "The last days of what?" It seems obvious to me that the text is referring to the end of the Old Covenant-Temple aeon/age. When you read the New Testament through this lenses, all I can say is, "Wow!" It makes a significant difference when you read the Scriptures with the realization that the Bible was written for you, not to you. We need to also understand that "time of the end" and the "end of time" are not one and the same. The Bible teaches about the "time of the end," but nothing is taught about an "end of time."
