Book Description
As close as we are to our beloved pets, we often wonder how they spend their days when we aren't watching. What do they explore? How does the world look from the point of view of our dogs and cats—or our chickens and goats? PetCam, by photographer Chris Keeney, author of Pinhole Cameras, presents a collection of striking and amusing images created by an international roster of four-legged photographers. With small, lightweight cameras attached to their collars and cowbells, they document what they see as they go about their daily routines—lounging under parked cars, scaling rooftops, jumping fences, relaxing in a neighbor's tall grass. You'll see the world through the eyes of more than twenty intrepid pets, including Coulee, a Border Collie–Golden Retriever mix from Alberta, Canada; Fritz, a tabby cat living in the Ore Mountains of Germany; Walter and Hamlet, brother and sister miniature pot belly pigs from San Diego; and Sofie, a Galloway cow, who spends her days roaming the hills of the Swiss Alps. This unique and whimsical collection offers a peek into the wanderings of our animal friends, and reveals how they experience the world we all share.

Book Description
My Dog Is the Best Person I Know is an outrageously funny and heartwarming look into childrens relationships with their four-legged canine family members. In the way that only brighteyed, perceptive youngsters can do, children from four to thirteen describe in hilarious fashion what a dogs personality is like and how the four-legged set fits into the fabric of family life, while occasionally tearing apart the fabric of the family sofa! In this wonderful collection, the children address such appealing topics as the history of how dogs got to be domesticated, what makes dogs so lovable, a candid comparison of dogs versus cats, what benefits dogs and people derive from living together, what dogs would say about the people in their lives, the personal comments veterinarians offer to dogs when patient and doctor are alone, how to show love to your dog, and why indeed a dog can aptly be called mans best friend. Here are a few choice examples: Dogs used to travel in packs, until one day they saw a persons home and thought it was a bed-and-breakfast for dogs! (Dan, age 11) Nowadays, all dogs want better foodlike filet mignon! (Jared, age 13) Who else but a dog would be sloppy enough to want to be close to a man? (Emily, age 11) Dogs are mans best friend because dogs are color-blind and so they love all the people exactly the same. (Alyssa, age 11)

Book Description
Life as we know it takes unexpected turns and creates changes, most of which we have no control over. One of these is how it separates us through death from those we grow up with, love, and cherish in our living years. And when the unexpected happens, we are often left feeling discouraged, confused, or brokenhearted. It makes no difference if the loss we experience is that of a human or domesticated animal family member. We end up feeling equally empty, especially if the relationship between us was also based on friendship as a glue. My Four-Legged Friends is a story collection of six domesticated animals I befriended in my life. Three of these I grew up with in Africa and appropriately referred to as My Africa Four Legged Friends. The other three, which I call My American Four-Legged Friends, I later met and befriended during my educational years in the United States of America. The book offers reflections about co-existing, loving, and sometimes trusting our animal friends and family members. It teaches us that God did not make a mistake when He made it both possible and necessary to welcome the four-legged animals as part of our family household. The book is based on true stories and promises to evoke real emotions, especially to those who are animal lovers.

Book Description
I have tried many things in my working years: steel worker, sweeper sales, campground owner, auto salvage yard operator, owner of an air compressor sales and service company, and owner of a miscellaneous metals center. I retired and sold everything. A year into retirement I volunteered to help with a project at church and found myself agreeing to take on the church maintenance, which lasted for four years. I have always had a more than passing interest in the arts. Over the years I've worked with wood, copper, iron, steel, and in my spare time I painted, mostly outdoor scenes with acrylics. Then I discovered glass etching. In my early years, the everyday work of providing for and raising a family didn't leave a lot of time for serious commitment to my artworks, but since my second retirement I have been able to fl y. I've etched sixteen windows for St. Anthony Catholic Church, Brooksville, FL; ten windows for The Florida Medical Center, Springhill, FL; six doors for St. Thomas Catholic Church, Homosassa, FL. I have works in restaurants, attorney's offi ces and many homes including that of Architect Hal Lenox. My artworks can be viewed on my web site in completed custom projects and gallery at, www.artworksbyrobertgsmith.com
