Book Description
This book is an autobiography of my Vietnam War experiences from November 1970 to October 1971. I was stationed for 10 months on Hon Tre Island off the Nha Trang city mainland and the rest of my tour at Cam Ranh Bay Air Base. As an Officer and Weapons Controller/Director, I was responsible for guiding pilots of U.S. aircraft to and from their battle and reconnaissance missions using radar equipment. I was also a Pay Officer for the base camp consisting of other officers and enlisted men who supported our mission. This required a monthly drive by jeep to Cam Ranh Air Base to pick up and bring back pay for the men. Often boring, often stressful, sometimes terrifying, and sometimes fun and games, this is what I did in the Vietnam War.

Book Description
365 and a Wake-Up: My Year in Vietnam is a front, row, day-by-day chronicle as seen through the eyes of a common infantryman. The author, a twenty-year-old combat medic during his tour of duty, tells his story with all the trepidation of a typical draftee. This book is a chronicle of his experiences with a platoon of grunts as they hump through the mire of rice paddies, the jungles peppered with Agent Orange, and the booby-trapped hootches of the seemingly friendly villages. The story describes vividly the mixed bag of soldiers whose main agenda is not only to kill the Viet Cong but to simply make it through each of the 365 days and be given their wake-up. Book jacket.

Book Description
This military memoir examines one of the most vicious and tragically forgotten battles of the Vietnam War from a variety of perspectives. In June of 1967, the Viet Cong sought to isolate and destroy an elite South Vietnamese unit as part of a new offensive strategy. They sent a voluntary POW as an “informant” to dupe the 52nd Vietnamese Ranger Battalion into taking a dangerous position in the III Corps sector of South Vietnam. In the midst of an ambush, the members of the 52nd Ranger Battalion conducted themselves with great skill and valor. As one of those men, Keith Nightingale is uniquely suited to relate the events of that day. Based on firsthand experience as well as After Action Reports from a variety of sources, Just Another Day in Vietnam explores multiple perspectives, affording equal weight to ally and enemy alike. Nightingale offers rare insight into the often misunderstood role of the elite Vietnamese Ranger forces; the intelligence acquired from captured Rangers; and a rare eyewitness account to this fateful yet underexamined Vietnam battle.

Book Description
This novel is set in the very center of the time of most difficult combat experienced by a United States Marine Corps rifle company. A second lieutenant, only days from training back in the states is ordered, under fire, to assume command of a company of cast off Marines, all out in the brutal bloody jungle because of the either the worst of luck or the most minor of offenses or infringement. The outnumbered and little supported company is at constant war with vicious units of the North Vietnamese Army while at the same time tearing itself apart every night in deadly encounters between its racially mixed elements. The enlisted ranks lack all respect for their untested and inexperienced officers, while the officers fight them right back using supporting fires on the enemy as well as their own warring factions. All the men are ruled by terror and fear of the end they know they are not likely to avoid. They are not going home. They are not going to the rear area. And they are only to be kept moving through a valley of death called the A Shau, with only the manner of their passing in question. That same company so riven by internal strife, however, remains frightfully effective in fighting the enemy. This account of the reality of agonizingly brutal guerrilla combat is written from the perspective of the new lieutenant who sends his last will and testament home to his wife after only three days in combat. These 30 Days in detail encompass Three Volumes
