Introduction : l'objectif principal de cette thèse est de proposer un protocole d'analyse tridimensionnelle des mouvements dentaires par superposition sur modèles, après un recul molaire indirect assisté par mini-vis. Matériels et Méthodes : nous avons repris les aspects de la distalisation molaire : conventionnelle, puis assistée par mini-vis. Une analyse de la littérature a été menée pour quantifier le déplacement molaire obtenu en fonction des techniques utilisées, avec une attention particulière pour le recul indirect. Ensuite, nous avons investigué les différentes méthodes de superposition et leur fiabilité. Enfin, nous avons pu proposer un protocole original de superposition afin d'analyser les mouvements dentaires lors d'un recul molaire assisté par mini-implants. Résultats : nous avons pu mettre en évidence une carence d'informations concernant le recul indirect et ses performances dans la littérature. De plus, en orthodontie, nous avons pu déterminer que la superposition sur modèles digitaux (mini-vis, troisième rugae) est actuellement une technique de choix. Conclusion : nous avons pu mettre au point un protocole de superposition fiable, afin de déterminer les mouvements dentaires lors du recul indirect.

L'objectif de ce mémoire est de mettre en évidence par l'intermédiaire d'une analyse statistique, la quantité de recul molaire maxillaire bilatéral et de perte d'ancrage antérieure obtenue par technique Invisalign®. Dans un premier temps, la position de la première molaire maxillaire doit être définie. La seconde partie sera consacrée aux principes biomécaniques et techniques de la distalisation des premières molaires maxillaires, en exposant les thérapeutiques extra-orales, intra-orales fixes et amovibles. La technique Invisalign® sera détaillée tant dans ses procédés de fabrication que dans ses principes de mise en place. Une analyse statistique reposant sur des valeurs collectées par superpositions permet alors après description de l'échantillon, du matériel et des méthodes, de mettre en évidence la proportion de recul molaire et de perte d'ancrage antérieure. Les résultats, quoique non représentatifs, ont une significativité importante. La perte d'ancrage antérieure est alors fonction du recul molaire. Des valeurs moyennes de recul et de perte d'ancrage ont été relevées. Le plein essor de la technique permet d'améliorer à terme ses performances, qui pourraient être analysées à l'avenir
