Excerpt from Minutes of the Fifty-Third Annual Session of the Reedy Creek Missionary Baptist Association: Held With the Shiloh Baptist Church, Arcola, Warren Co., N. C., September 15th, 16th, 17th, 1931 Article 1. This Association Shall be known as the Reedy Creek Missionary Baptist Association of the State of North Carolina. Art. 2. This Association shall be composed of Ministers and Messengers from regular Baptist Churches in good standing, and in full practice of the doctrine and faith, discipline and ordinance of God, and reception of the same into this body shall be by the unanimous consent of the body. Art. 3 The object of this Association shall be fraternal inter course and advisory council to foster and support the cause of Christ and His Churches, Sabbath Schools, Home and Foreign Mission Work, the Reedy Creek Institute of Littleton, N. C and to advance the cause of religious education in every possible way. Art. 4. The Officers of this Association shall be Moderator, vice-moderator, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, . Statistical Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor and an Executive Board of nine members who shall discharge the duties of Executive Boards of similar organizations and who shall be Ordaining Coun cil subject to call of the Moderator of the Association with the Recording Secretary of the Board. The manner of electing them being-left to the discretion of the Association. Art. 5. The management of the Reedy Creek Institute shall be in the hands of the Board of Trustees consisting of seven (7 members, five (5) of whom shall be a quorum.
