En effet, les acteurs encadrants de mémoires qu'ils soient jurys ou directeurs sont récurrents entre 2006 et 2016. Ce mémoire propose une étude croisée entre sociologie des professions et sociologie des réseaux sociaux afin d'analyser les rouages qui animent le réseau social des professionnels encadrants des mémoires de recherche à Lyon. L'étude porte sur le domaine de la neurologie et interroge en quoi les réseaux sociaux constitués autour de l'encadrement de travaux de fin d'études en orthophonie participent à la dynamique de construction identitaire de la profession. Pour y répondre, onze entretiens semi-directifs ont été réalisés auprès de différents professionnels ayant été jury ou directeurs de mémoires. Les entretiens ont révélé un haut niveau d'exigence dans l'expertise du domaine de la neurologie à Lyon et par conséquent dans les mémoires réalisés par les étudiants. Mais malgré l'existence de cette communauté épistémique et les liens qui semblent indéniables entre eux, il ressort que ce n'est pas ce réseau propre à l'encadrement des mémoires qui soit la source de cette collaboration ; mais plutôt un réseau d'origine clinique et extrauniversitaire qui soit moteur du domaine de la neurologie en orthophonie à Lyon
