Book Description
This is a collection of three short stories by three talented authors. ~The Coin Collector~ In their small Iowa town, children start to go missing on their tenth birthday. The hot Irish girl across the street claims her creepy father, Mr. O'Darby, is a leprechaun who collects more than just gold coins, and 17-year-old Trent begins to fear for the safety of his brother, Ben, whose tenth birthday grows near. ~Lucky Strike~ Atlantic City, New Jersey – For years, the city has brought to mind bright lights, big shows, and of course, games of chance and luck. For Chance Lamont, the city has begun to lose its appeal. Luck doesn't strike everyone, she'd been told, and they were right. Her life had been steadily going downhill since her teens. Will a chance encounter with someone from her past, as well as a brush with a fabled lucky creature change her fate? Or will her only luck continue to be bad luck? ~Leprechaun~ Be careful what you wish for, it’s the classic warning. For Chicago native Noah Graham, he didn’t care about warnings. He had everything he ever wanted in life and he wasn’t even 30 yet. Yet there was one thing he still wanted, but didn’t have – a divorce. But how to divorce her without giving up half? A strange man he meets in a bar offers him a way out…for a price. Free excerpts of all the authors' other books are included in this book! Recommended for ages 16 and up. Provides a new narrative history of the ancient world, from the beginnings of civilization in the ancient Near East and Egypt to the fall of Constantinople Written by an expert in the field, this book presents a narrative history of Babylon from the time of its First Dynasty (1880-1595) until the last centuries of the city’s existence during the Hellenistic and Parthian periods (ca. 331-75 AD). Unlike other texts on Ancient Near Eastern and Mesopotamian history, it offers a unique focus on Babylon and Babylonia, while still providing readers with an awareness of the interaction with other states and peoples. Organized chronologically, it places the various socio-economic and cultural developments and institutions in their historical context. The book also gives religious and intellectual developments more respectable coverage than books that have come before it. A History of Babylon, 2200 BC – AD 75 teaches readers about the most important phase in the development of Mesopotamian culture. The book offers in-depth chapter coverage on the Sumero-Addadian Background, the rise of Babylon, the decline of the first dynasty, Kassite ascendancy, the second dynasty of Isin, Arameans and Chaldeans, the Assyrian century, the imperial heyday, and Babylon under foreign rule. Focuses on Babylon and Babylonia Written by a highly regarded Assyriologist Part of the very successful Histories of the Ancient World series An excellent resource for students, instructors, and scholars A History of Babylon, 2200 BC - AD 75 is a profound text that will be ideal for upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses on Ancient Near Eastern and Mesopotamian history and scholars of the subject.

Book Description
As mysterious as a shadow, but grounded in loyalty and allegiance. Vampire Craig Walsh is one of the founding members of the Nighthawks MC after standing true and loyal for years to his best friend and Nighthawks’ founding father, Viper. Known for his ability to disappear into thin air, he quickly earned the nickname Shadow. Secrets from his past reveal why and how he'd been bestowed the gift—which he at first labeled a curse. Shadow actively avoids personal relationships with women. He prefers the quick, easy in and out approach to get his needs met. That is, until he crosses paths with a beautiful, sassy witch, with flaming red hair and a feisty fire in her eyes named Bloome. While his attitude is big, he finds that with Bloome, he’s met his match, and he’s not sure how or if he can handle her. With a war threatening to break out in the Quarter between the vampires and witches, he isn’t sure if he even wants to get himself tangled up with her. With no time or room in his life for the actual commitment of a relationship, but knowing there’s something different and alluring about her, will Shadow accept her fiery attitude and make room for her in his life, or will he let her go and continue the life of perpetual bachelorhood? SHADOW is book 2 in the Nighthawks MC series, and is for readers 18+. This is an ongoing series and books should be read in order. Viper Shadow Phoenix Coming Soon: Venom Face

Book Description
The Sealand kingdom arose from the rebellion against Babylonian hegemony in the latter half of the 18th century BCE., forcing it to share power over Sumer and Akkad. Although its kings maintained themselves throughout the turmoil leading to the demise of the Amorite dynasty at Babylon, it remains one of the most poorly documented Mesopotamian polities. Until recently, it was known to us mainly through its inclusion into later king lists and chronicles, but the recent publication of well over 400 archival texts from a Sealand palace, soon followed by literary and divinatory tablets, finally makes it possible to study this polity from primary sources. This book proposes a history of the Sealand kingdom based on the new evidence and a reevaluation of previously known sources. The aspects examined are: the economy — mainly the palatial administration and transformation of agricultural and animal resources; the panthea and the palace-sponsored cult, which show that Sealand I kings may have positioned their rule in a Larsean tradition; the political history, including a discussion of the geography and the relative chronology; the recording and transmission of knowledge on the Sealand I dynasty in Mesopotamian historiography.

Book Description
When Henry II accepted the Leinster king Diarmait Mac Murchada as his liegeman in 1166, he forged a bond between the English crown and Ireland that has never been undone. Ireland was to be changed forever as a result of the momentous events that followed – so much so that it is normal for professional historians to specialise in either the pre- or post-invasion period. Here, for the first time, is an account of the impact of the English invasion on the Irish kingdoms in the context of their strategies across the whole twelfth century. Ireland’s leading men battled for spheres of influence, for recognition of their hegemonies and, ultimately, for the coveted title of ‘king of Ireland’. But what did it mean to be the king of Ireland when no one dynasty had secured their hold on it? This book takes a close look at each pretender, asking what it meant to them – and whether the political dynamics surrounding the role had an impact on the course of the invasion itself.
