This document has been prepared as part of Manitoba's economic statistics program. It provides information for Manitoba on the importance and impact of international merchandise trade. This data is provided by country, commodity and industry, which is obtained from Statistics Canada's International Trade Division. All commodity data are based on the Harmonized System which was adopted for both exports and imports in 1988. Previous commodity data was based on the Export and Import Commodity Classification. This publication contains revised trade information for the years provided. The latest year's information is preliminary and subject to revision. Some data has been adjusted for various reasons. No revision has been made to Statistics Canada's data concerning cereal grains, oil seeds or crude petroleum export values for Manitoba.
