Book Description
The 306 trilogy is dedicated to the memory of the 306 British soldiers of the 1914-18 war who were shot at dawn, by their own side, for what was then called cowardice or desertion. This final play, The 306:Dusk, is set on November 11 2018 and considers the impact of the First World war on today's attitudes to and experiences of war. 2018. Armistice Day. A pregnant school teacher is haunted by the story of her grandfather's story of having to kill his deserter friend. On a school trip to the battlefields she goes AWOL in a wood whilst on this very personal mission of remembrance. An injured veteran of the Iraq war has yet to cope with the aftermath of killing, and still relives the nightmare of battle. A blindfolded soldier wakes up after 100 years to hear the birds singing once more... The 306: Dusk is a unique piece of music theatre about memory and forgetting, friendship and betrayal, exploring what the Great War means to us today. From the 2-minute silence at 11am to dusk that same day, three disparate characters, a string quartet and a choir of voices from the past and present show how our world is shaped by the war to end all wars. The play ends with a roll call of the first names of the 306 soldiers. It also includes extracts from the diary of Oliver Emanuel as he researched and created the 2018 production. The 306: Dusk was a National Theatre Scotland and Perth Theatre production, co-commissioned by 14-18 NOW, the UK's arts programme for the First World War centenary and is the concluding part of the 306 Trilogy, following 2016's premiere The 306: Dawn, and performances in 2017 of The 306: Day.

Book Description
1911: Sydney, Australia. From the moment the tumours appeared on her face, Maggie Bright knew she would never live a normal life. Abandoned by her mother and then given away by her father, she spent her childhood learning to become the 'Lagoon Creature': part acrobat, part clown, part circus hand. It's not a bad life -Rafferty Braun, the ringmaster, provides her with an ongoing education, and now, as a young woman, she has the kind of freedom her condition could have easily taken away from her. As much as she tries not to, however, Maggie can't help wishing for more. Charlotte Voigt could not be more different. The talented tightrope walker is a star of the circus, with the entertainment world at her slipper-clad feet. She is also a liar. When an opportunity arises to try on Charlotte's identity for her own, Maggie doesn't hesitate. She wants to know what it feels like to be admired, to be accepted, to be beautiful. And the circus's sudden decision to cross Australia via wagon provides her with the perfect cover. Each new town or remote settlement brings the women closer to understanding one another. Resentments begin to fade, but in their place are secrets that could undo the delicate trust they've built: Maggie, with her alternative life pretending to be the glamorous tightrope walker; Charlotte lying about her background, her family, and the reason she reappeared with the circus after several years' absence. The sawdust road will test their willpower. The truth will determine their futures.

Book Description
Coyote and Magpie reexamines the murder charge and, often under difficult conditions, collects information that will be used during a new trial. Involved in the quest for new information and eventual justice are Deputy Sheriff Lenny Craig and citizen Delmar Mentis, who take the reader along with them as they investigate every aspect of the crime that they believe was committed by Irana Dubliski. As evidence is collected, Deputy Craig and Delmar Mentis convince Sheriff Chester Overman and Judge Wolfe that the ultimate sentence be given to Irana Dubliski. Debts due from certain legislators enable the law enforcement group to carry out an unusual punishment at the old, vacated prison. Strange legal and quasi legal machinations are not uncommon in Wyoming, and although this is a purely fictional possibility, that very possibility of using the old prison during an actual case was discussed in 1992. What will Deputy Craig and Delmar Mentis achieve in their investigation and court room drama? What event awaits the defendant Irana Dubliski at the old prison? We shall see as Coyote and Magpie is read.

Book Description
Living with wolves has provided Tracy with countless experiences that have changed her life in unimaginable ways. As a cofounder of Mission: Wolf, a wolf sanctuary in Colorado, Tracy has spent half her life studying wolf behavior and body language. Tracy has learned to leash train and walk wolves, often with painful consequences. Join Tracy as she develops a special bond with an intense British Columbian gray wolf named Shaman. Shaman becomes a great wolf teacher, and eventually the shy wolf grows to trust her. Tracy relies on her instinct and intuition as she moves to calm sensitive wolves like Shaman. She does well but believes in her heart that she can do better. A horse named Ikus comes into Tracy's life and dramatically changes her understanding of horse-to-person communication. Driven to find her own way to connect with horses, Ikus becomes a professor in nature's university as Tracy embarks on a journey of learning to speak horse language. Something profound happens when Ikus, a horse with an attitude and a dislike of being haltered, gives Tracy an unexpected lesson in resolving feral behavior. Not only does Ikus teach Tracy how to stop his run-away glitch but Tracy discovers a missing link in her previous wolf-handling life that will forever change her approach to resolving feral behavioral problems in both species. This experience ultimately provides Tracy with a foundation for clear communication, and it awakens in her an effective and natural way to connect with animals. Tracy's world of wolves and horses is forever inspired as she moves to a new level of connection beyond anything she believed possible, and she strives to share what she has learned. Sally, a young woman from the UK, comes to volunteer at the sanctuary and learns to calm a very frightened eighteen-year-old horse who is going blind and in danger of injuring himself. Book Description
From the incredibly intricate storyteller John Leatherman comes a tale with more twists and turns than any episode of Sherlock. For television news intern Chance Trifle, the third time really is the charm. He experiences every day three times, and only what happens on the third version is permanent. The rest of the world seems unaware that each day has two unofficial versions. Chance’s foreknowledge allows him to get what he thinks is his ticket to journalistic stardom – video of the murder of pop star Prima by record producer Sam Mason. But each unofficial attempt to release the sensational video goes horribly wrong, so on the official days, Chance keeps it secret. Meanwhile, he juggles relationships with two female interns, Danielle Arbusto and Trish Villanova—both captivated by his apparent cleverness. With every moment Chance sits on the video, he feels more and more in league with a criminal. Obsessed with finding the right way to protect himself, profit from the video, and keep his girlfriends from finding out about each other, Chance misses hearing about the abduction of five-year-old Wendy Starnes until after his last chance to prevent it. Then as he struggles to help find Starnes, the video goes missing and turns up anonymously on the Web. It’s only a matter of time before someone links it to him—and realizes he could have saved Prima and brought a murderer to justice if he hadn’t been so focused on himself. On the run from conniving coworkers, spurned lovers, determined detectives, bloodthirsty thugs, and fierce mercenaries, can Chance take his mind off personal gain long enough to realize the right way to use his gift?
