There are three enclosures. First, a letter from Jackson to Mr. Lane dated March 28, 1788 requesting that Mr. Lane forgo standard procedure in supplying rations due to the desperate situation on the frontier. Also enclosed is an extract of a letter from Captain William McIntosh to Colonel J. McIntosh, dated March 25, 1788 pertaining to conflict with Indians in Glynn County and a letter from James Jackson to Captain Cone dated March 6, 1788 concerning troops and supplies on the frontier of the state.

This is a letter with several enclosures from Robert Forsyth, State Agent, to Georgia Governor George Handley (1788-1789) dated June 17, 1788. Forsyth writes to the governor concerning the state's accounts with supply contractors and mentions procuring provisions for an Indian treaty (possibly the contemplated Rock Landing treaty). Forsyth encloses a receipt, dated June 3, 1788, for troop supplies purchased from Hillhouse and Kellogg. Forsyth also encloses a letter from contractor David Hillhouse to himself, dated June 16, 1788, that contains several enclosures relative to military provisions. These enclosures include a copy of a letter, dated April 24, 1788, from General James Jackson to Hillhouse regarding appointments in Jackson's district, and an undated copy of a letter from General Elijah Clarke to Hillhouse regarding frontier stations in Greene County. A copy of a letter, dated May 7, 1788, from Colonel (Henry?) Karr to Hillhouse respecting military supplies is also included in Hillhouse's letter to Forsyth. Also included in this document is a letter from Colonel (Henry?) Karr to Hillhouse, dated May 17, 1788, pertaining to supplies for frontier stations. Karr reports that unnamed Indians attacked Carmicael's Station and attempted to burn it. He states that the station is in desperate need of supplies, particularly ammunition. This letter dated June 2, 1788 is from James Jackson, Brigadier General of the First District in Georgia, to George Handley, Governor of Georgia (1788-1789), regarding Indian (ostensibly Creek) activities in the region near Savannah. Jackson mentions an enclosure from Colonel Jacob Weed (no longer attached) that criticizes the Indians' adherence to treaties. He also tells the governor that state troops are needed on the St. Marys River in order to prevent whites, Indians, and fugitive slaves from crossing to and from Florida. Jackson complains about the activities of traders Panton, Forbes, and Company, and reports that Indians are stealing horses from whites in the area. He discusses the arrest of (Daniel?) McGirt, a British loyalist, and its effect on the local Indians. Among other things, Jackson also mentions Alexander McGillivray, and comments on the treachery of the Spanish and the Seminoles in Florida.

This document is a letter, dated April 23, 1788, from Peter Stubblefield, Commissioner of issues, to George Handley, Governor of Georgia (1788-1789). Stubblefield writes that he has been unable to find the four men wounded by Indians in Washington (Ga., Wilkes County) for whom he was to furnish provisions. He had expected to find them at a hospital in Washington (Ga.) but they had refused to come for treatment and had instead received supplies sent by a surgeon at the hospital.
