Book Description
I asked one of my love ones who happens to be a left-handed to write down the English alphabet and a set of numbers and symbols which would be used as the base for the design of left-handed friendly handwriting fonts. He did with an astonishing speed and handed it to me on a graphic paper. The writing really looks like a chicken scratch but, ironically, perfectly legible. He also happens to be a medical school student."Are you going to prescript with this chicken scratch!?" I held the piece of the paper and asked."Yeah," he said, "it's perfectly readable, isn't it?""Sure it's clear enough to me." I had to admit, nodded, "and looks like energized.""Don't you think this is a form of artwork in its own way?" I didn't answer because I was not sure if he was serious. He continued, " It's a fusion of fast pace and legibility, a true form of artwork, orders in the chaos with desirable efficiency.""Oh-kay!" I nodded again. " That's a little too much of philosophical to me. Can you be a little more artistically neat with an acceptable slower writing pace?""Sure, why not." He grinned, took the graphic notepad again, picked up a signature pen and wrote another set of English alphabet, numbers and symbols, of course with his left hand in about half the pace of writing "the order in the chaos" style. Now I have two left-handed font bases to work with. I created two fonts, one called Wild Street Dance based on "the order in the chaos" and one called Ballet Grace based on the "a little more artistically neat" In this workbook, the font Ballet Grace is chosen as the handwriting font for left hand practice.

Book Description
The book you have just opened is probably unlike anything you have ever read so far. It offers you a path to direct contact with “The Art of War”, the masterpiece of Sun Tzu, a classical theorist of warfare in Ancient China. This book examines an ancient Chinese work on strategy and warfare: Sun Tzu, “The Art of War”, from the perspectives of logic, mathematics, and computer science. Sun Tzu’s book has been studied and translated many times before, with viewpoints from historians, military- and business strategists, philosophers, and in the context of modern computer strategy games. This book takes a new approach to study this 2500-year-old text. It uses modern mind mapping techniques to show a new dimension that uncovers meaning and structure not easily seen before. Mind maps are semantic diagrams of related concepts: they are used in this book in a restricted form, defined as Text Tree Mind Maps. A chapter covering the theoretical side of diagramming ancient text, explains the making of the mind maps used in this book and why showing old text in this way is so useful.

Book Description
Mitch is left-handed. I asked him to write down a set of English alphabet and numbers so that I could reference the symbols to create the left-hand friendly handwriting fonts. He did. One of my favorite fonts, the Wild Dance, is based on his writing, the typical left-hand strokes and slants. Mitch is extremely intelligent, but not a 4.0 student; he is very smart, but not necessarily the luckiest one. In middle school, he stopped trying hard on his favor math because his math teacher snapped at him in the class when he was trying to be smarter; in high school, he was only two shots shy to be qualified for state golf invitation after two years well-planned and hard practices - left hand uses right hand club; in the senior year, he got rejected by the ivy leagues because the school district changed the grading system that lowered his academic ranking. Once in college, he brushed all the unlucky off and study harder and smarter. Only at the end of his second year in college, he applied two medical schools. Both granted interview and got admitted by one. Now he is a med-student. I wouldn't be able to conclude that left-handed is smarter as a class, but they're definitely more creative.America is known as the land of opportunities, but you have to realize that the opportunities refer to the size, so big but, unfortunately, meanwhile so rare. Everyone can be the president, but there is only one president; everyone can win lottery, but only the extremely lucky ones will take the money; everyone can get rich, but only less than 1% do. You'll need to be, of course extremely, creative to be able to snap the opportunities up to become the one percent. Here is a book that may help, Creative Brain-Everyone can unleash the hidden genius residing in the brain! It helps you to understand more about how to become more creative. This is the workbook designed for the left-hand practices recommended by Creative Brain - Everyone can unleash the hidden genius residing in the brain! The texts of the Art of War are printed with both solid and dotted font. The dotted font is for you to trace with your left hand. The Art of War is a 2,500 years book which has become very popular to help people maneuvering life conflicts in recent years. It was translated by Maya Mai recently. The Art of War itself is a very useful revelation of how to deal with conflicts. The modern life is full of conflicts: personal conflicts, relationship conflicts, working place conflicts, and business conflicts, etc. The Art of War is about the strategies to deal with conflict. It lays out the principles to resolve conflicts with minimum damages, to gain benefits from conflicts, or even to create conflicts for opportunities to gain advantages.

Book Description
The International Bestseller New York Times Editors’ Choice SelectionWinner of the 2020 Lannan Literary Awards Fellowship "[An] absorbing, stirring novel . . . that, in more than one sense, remedies history." —The New York Times Book Review “A triumph, a novelistic rendition of one of the most difficult times in Vietnamese history . . . Vast in scope and intimate in its telling . . . Moving and riveting.” —VIET THANH NGUYEN, author of The Sympathizer, winner of the Pulitzer Prize With the epic sweep of Min Jin Lee’s Pachinko or Yaa Gyasi’s Homegoing and the lyrical beauty of Vaddey Ratner’s In the Shadow of the Banyan, The Mountains Sing tells an enveloping, multigenerational tale of the Trần family, set against the backdrop of the Việt Nam War. Trần Diệu Lan, who was born in 1920, was forced to flee her family farm with her six children during the Land Reform as the Communist government rose in the North. Years later in Hà Nội, her young granddaughter, Hương, comes of age as her parents and uncles head off down the Hồ Chí Minh Trail to fight in a conflict that tore apart not just her beloved country, but also her family. Vivid, gripping, and steeped in the language and traditions of Việt Nam, The Mountains Sing brings to life the human costs of this conflict from the point of view of the Vietnamese people themselves, while showing us the true power of kindness and hope. The Mountains Sing is celebrated Vietnamese poet Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai’s first novel in English.

Book Description
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • A moving memoir about the legendary author’s relationship with her own mother. Emma Watson’s Our Shared Shelf Book Club Pick! The story of Maya Angelou’s extraordinary life has been chronicled in her multiple bestselling autobiographies. But now, at last, the legendary author shares the deepest personal story of her life: her relationship with her mother. For the first time, Angelou reveals the triumphs and struggles of being the daughter of Vivian Baxter, an indomitable spirit whose petite size belied her larger-than-life presence—a presence absent during much of Angelou’s early life. When her marriage began to crumble, Vivian famously sent three-year-old Maya and her older brother away from their California home to live with their grandmother in Stamps, Arkansas. The subsequent feelings of abandonment stayed with Angelou for years, but their reunion, a decade later, began a story that has never before been told. In Mom & Me & Mom, Angelou dramatizes her years reconciling with the mother she preferred to simply call “Lady,” revealing the profound moments that shifted the balance of love and respect between them. Delving into one of her life’s most rich, rewarding, and fraught relationships, Mom & Me & Mom explores the healing and love that evolved between the two women over the course of their lives, the love that fostered Maya Angelou’s rise from immeasurable depths to reach impossible heights. Praise for Mom & Me & Mom “Mom & Me & Mom is delivered with Angelou’s trademark good humor and fierce optimism. If any resentments linger between these lines, if lives are partially revealed without all the bitter details exposed, well, that is part of Angelou’s forgiving design. As an account of reconciliation, this little book is just revealing enough, and pretty irresistible.”—The Washington Post “Moving . . . a remarkable portrait of two courageous souls.”—People “[The] latest, and most potent, of her serial autobiographies . . . [a] tough-minded, tenderhearted addition to Angelou’s spectacular canon.”—Elle “Mesmerizing . . . Angelou has a way with words that can still dazzle us, and with her mother as a subject, Angelou has a near-perfect muse and mystery woman.”—Essence
