El libro titulado La gobernanza de los derechos digitales de las personas trabajadoras aborda el tratamiento normativo de dichos derechos en el ámbito de las relaciones laborales, teniendo muy presente su aplicación jurisdiccional. En los estudios que forman parte de la presente monografía prima un tratamiento propositivo de las medidas orientadas a alcanzar una gobernanza justa de los derechos digitales de las personas trabajadoras. En este sentido, el respecto de la dignidad de las personas trabajadoras, la privacidad y los derechos fundamentales en el contrato de trabajo se presentan como presupuestos esenciales de la obra desde la perspectiva del análisis del contexto y de la promoción de los derechos digitales laborales. De igual modo, se combina el análisis de las normas laborales en concurrencia con la normativa de tutela de los derechos fundamentales y de la protección de datos personales. Desde esta perspectiva, se presta especial atención a los estándares de protección de los derechos digitales y a los principios jurídicos de garantía de la privacidad en los entornos empresariales. La monografía insiste en plantear el refuerzo normativo de los derechos digitales en las relaciones laborales, contemplando una especial referencia a la tutela del derecho a la intimidad. Sin duda, ello supone un importante avance en la tutela de los derechos de las personas trabajadoras. La monografía aborda esta problemática con un renovado enfoque transversal, relativo al tratamiento de los derechos digitales, destacando las situaciones conflictivas típicas producidas en el proceso actual de intensificación del recurso a la digitalización. Este estudio colectivo forma parte de las acciones de difusión del proyecto de investigación del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación de España titulado «La garantía de los derechos digitales en el ámbito laboral: políticas empresariales, ejercicio de derechos y límites al poder de control del trabajo» (Proyecto de Investigación Labordig).

Based on twenty case studies of universities worldwide, and on a survey administered to leaders in 101 universities, this open access book shows that, amidst the significant challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, universities found ways to engage with schools to support them in sustaining educational opportunity. In doing so, they generated considerable innovation, which reinforced the integration of the research and outreach functions of the university. The evidence suggests that universities are indeed open systems, in interaction with their environment, able to discover changes that can influence them and to change in response to those changes. They are also able, in the success of their efforts to mitigate the educational impact of the pandemic, to create better futures, as the result of the innovations they can generate. This challenges the view of universities as "ivory towers" being isolated from the surrounding environment and detached from local problems. As they reached out to schools, universities not only generated clear and valuable innovations to sustain educational opportunity and to improve it, this process also contributed to transform internal university processes in ways that enhanced their own ability to deliver on the third mission of outreach
