Este libro pretende ser un manual útil para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje en política económica. Su objetivo es explicar cómo el actual modelo de crecimiento económico liberal está basado en el endeudamiento económico a través de la política monetaria. En ella se recomiendan alternativas a la política monetaria actual, se proponen alternativas de inyección de liquidez a través de una renta básica a pensionistas, se estudia el verdadero papel y sentido del dinero, se identifica a las divisas internacionales acumuladas en las reservas nacionales como mercancía con una utilidad amplia y se plantea la necesidad de desarraigar conceptos generalizados en la sociedad a través de su propia identidad cultural si se pretende apostar por el desarrollo económico y humano. Pero sobre todo presenta a la Economía como una rama de la ciencia que ha de tener presente tres variables clave: esfuerzo, movimiento y confianza.
