Excerpt from An Introduction to the Peace Treaties The present volume does not purport to be an exhaustive or scholarly study of the Peace Conference and the Treaties. It is not based on any inside knowledge of what went on at Paris, or on any unpublished documentary material. It is simply the outcome of my attempt, in connection with teaching contemporary history, to keep in touch with some of the principal developments in international affairs.
