Findings and conclusions. From the results of the study, the researcher made the following conclusions (1) teaching divine healing to the treatment group produced an increase in the knowledge of the biblical foundations of healing, and this caused the congregation of YMC to be involved in this ministry; (2) if the congregation experiences healing themselves, they will rediscover the concept of the church as a healing community, and that experience increased their appreciation of the contributions of a healing ministry to the life of the church, and (3) there was a relationship between the biblical knowledge of divine healing and the experienced practice of it to the deepening of the members' faith and their knowledge of God.

Book Description
"This project is about enhancing the divine healing knowledge of pastors' wives. Jesus regarded divine healing seriously but some churches are not concerned about whether or not the healing of Jesus is important in these days. It is for lack of the biblical and theological knowledge and understanding of divine healing. Therefore, the purpose of this project is to help believers learn correct knowledge on divine healing. Further, the goal of this project is to increase faith in divine healing and also, to change the understanding and attitude of the healing ministry. The subjects for this project are the pastor's wives who are serving Korean immigrant churches in the Southern California. The researcher taught divine healing to the treatment group for two hours weekly through seminar program and proceeded for a period of ten weeks. The researcher evaluated the results of teaching from pre-testing and post-testing. The results of the curriculum evaluation showed that their knowledge and faith in divine healing enhanced, and that their prejudices on the divine healing removed. Even though the sick were not healed, they came to understand the sovereignty of God who works for the good of believers in all things. Further, their understanding and attitude of healing ministry were changed positively. They were convinced that God granted the grace of healing to the sick through their healing ministries and began to pray for the sick boldly. Also, they have been raised towards more devoted faith and spiritual life such as serving for church, reading the Bible, and praying"--Abstract.

Book Description
"This project dealt with the relationship between education on divine healing and the maturity of faith. The researcher stated the religious problems that the believers of Songrim Evangelical Holiness Church, where the researcher serves as the senior pastor, had and suggested the education on divine healing as a solution. As a biblical basis of the relationship between education on divine healing and the maturity of faith, he studied biblical figures such as Job, Naaman, Hezekiah, Jesus, the disciples and Paul. As a theological basis, he discussed the role and meaning of the triune God from the perspective of divine healing and theological meaning and the purpose of divine healing. Referring to sin as a major cause of sickness, he emphasized the redemptive and restorative meaning of divine healing. Interpreting divine healing as a presence of the Kingdom of God and the expression of the love of God, he explained the ultimate purpose of divine healing as a glory to God and maturity of faith. As a historical basis, he studied the history of healing in the Korea Evangelical Holiness Church, where the researcher belongs. Also, he studied the healing ministries of John Wesley's holiness movement in the 19th and 20th century in America, the healing ministries of Nazareth Church, International Holiness Union and A. B. Simpson. For theoretical constructs, he studied deliverance, forgiveness of sins, prayer, word of God, praise, command and the media in healing after referring to similar researches related to divine healing. He suggested more effective ways in divine healing by studying the healing ministries of Revs. Yonggi Cho, Hee Tae Park, and Oral Roberts. He selected 30 believers as a sample group; 15 as the Treatment Group and another 15 as the Control Group. He gave a pretest to both groups to know their understanding and attitude to divine healing through the questionnaire. He trained the Treatment Group for 10 weeks with the program that the researcher developed. It includes Bible study, unison prayer, praise, watching videos, testimonies, praying with the laying on of hands, and discussion. To know the effectiveness of the program, he gave a posttest to both groups with the same questionnaire after the training. The result showed that through the education, the faith of the participants had been matured and their knowledge on divine healing increased. Through the training, their concern, faith and expectation on the supernatural ministries of God had been much increased. Their misunderstanding that divine healing would be done only by special people was corrected. They understood that any believer could be an instrument in divine healing. They understood that divine healing is the expression of the blessings and love of God and the communal ministry of the triune God. They understood not only the hindrances in divine healing such as sinful life, glory to oneself, and uncertain faith but also the conditions of divine healing. The researcher mentioned the general conclusion of this project after interpreting special findings, stated the theological reflections and recommended several things to further improve the project"--Abstract of English translation.

Book Description
"Scope and method of study. ...This project mainly focuses on the twelve selected leaders of the immigrant Asian Baptist Church to train and equip them to increase their knowledge about divine healing from a biblical basis.... This project attempts to produce certain resources concerning divine healing and God's supernatural works as seen in the Bible. Increasing knowledge about divine healing involves selecting leaders who in some cases begin at a very basic level of understanding. This project highlights that divine healing occurs through the power of the Holy Spirit. It also mentions that divine healing is the real intervention of God's authority through someone's prayer. People who are doing healing ministries are God's instruments, but they are not the healer. God is the healer instantly or gradually. The seven session teaching plan was made and taught to the twelve selected leaders from the four main departments: men, women, youth, and missions department of the immigrant Asian Baptist Church. The seminar was done within two weeks: three Wednesdays, two Fridays, and two Sundays. The teaching methods applied included handouts, lesson plans, scripture verses, scripture readings, living testimonies, and the biblical basis of relevant healings found in the Bible. Findings and conclusions. To find out the increase of knowledge in twelve leaders about divine healing, the data were analyzed by pretest and posttest questionnaires. The same questionnaire was given to twelve selected leaders after the seven-session lesson was done. The survey questionnaire indicated that through the teaching seminar, the leaders' knowledge improved, and they had better scores than on the pretest questionnaire. It clearly showed that the teaching seminar had greatly impacted their knowledge about divine healing. The participants recommended that more time be given for each teaching lesson in the future. It was also recommended that preaching on the related subject of healing should be emphasized at the main worship service. It was also recommended that healing testimony sharing time needed to be opened to those who had such experiences through prayer. One of the most important recommendations was that a leader should practice regular Bible reading, fasting, and prayer to heal the spiritual life and physical life as well"--Abstract.

Book Description
"This project is about the change of attitude about healing in a Korean immigrant church. It is not easy to do the healing ministry in the Korean immigrant church in U.S.A. where pragmatism has developed the most. The Korean view of the church and American life are mixed in the Korean immigrant church, so there are many strengths and weaknesses. One of the weaknesses is that many Korean immigrant churches hold negative views toward divine healing. This might have come from the lack of education or training of the church members on divine healing. Therefore, the researcher assumed that if the church members were trained well on divine healing, they would understand divine healing correctly. It is not easy to carry out the healing ministry in America where many things are proved by science, and many hidden things are revealed in public. However, the Lord does His healing ministry beyond the boundaries of age, time, place, culture, and country. She hypothesized that if she trained the Korean immigrants in the church with the healing ministry based on the biblical, theological and historical knowledge, their attitude toward healing would be totally changed. It had been supported by the implementation. To know whether the hypotheses would be supported, she trained volunteers for ten weeks through lectures and activities. Twelve members participated in this training. Their attitude toward healing changed. Also, many of them actually experienced the healing of the Lord. Their faith had been grown, and they became more active in their church activities. Since their traditional view on healing had been changed, they began to show interest in the healing ministry more positively than before. After she completed the training, she concluded that the Lord would heal anybody who prays for healing by trusting the Lord"--Abstract.

Book Description
"This project is about developing the divine healing ministry through education and training. One of the problems which the Korean church has had for a long time was the negative attitude toward the divine healing ... This was very common among the laypersons, theological students and even the ministers. The researcher diagnosed that this came from the lack of understanding [of] divine healing ... Therefore, the researcher taught the participants [the] biblical, theological, and historical background of divine healing. At the same time, he emphasized ... spirituality training to help them experience the healing to develop the divine healing ministry. The researcher trained 15 Bible college students who [were] interested in this area for 10 weeks with the training materials developed by him. As a result, it was found that the sample group showed much progress in understanding the divine healing [when] they experienced [it] directly or indirectly. They also recovered the assurance and pride as a minister by applying what they learned in their ministry field. By understanding the healing correctly, they began to work with more confidence and great expectation in their field"--Abstract.
