Book Description
According to the media, the church is rapidly shrinking, both in numbers and in effectiveness. But the good news is, much of the bad news is wrong. Sociologist Bradley R. E. Wright uncovers what's really happening in the church: evangelicals are more respected by secular culture now than they were ten years ago; divorce rates of Christians are lower than those who aren't affiliated with a religion; young evangelicals are active in the faith. Wright reveals to readers why and how statistics are distorted, and shows that God is still effectively working through his people today.

Book Description
Hector Hugh Munro (18 December 1870 – 14 November 1916), better known by the pen name Saki and also frequently as H. H. Munro, was a British writer whose witty, mischievous and sometimes macabre stories satirize Edwardian society and culture. He is considered a master of the short story, and often compared to O. Henry and Dorothy Parker. Influenced by Oscar Wilde, Lewis Carroll and Rudyard Kipling, he himself influenced A. A. Milne, Noël Coward and P. G. Wodehouse. Besides his short stories (which were first published in newspapers, as was customary at the time, and then collected into several volumes), he wrote a full-length play, The Watched Pot, in collaboration with Charles Maude; two one-act plays; a historical study, The Rise of the Russian Empire (the only book published under his own name); a short novel, The Unbearable Bassington; the episodic The Westminster Alice (a parliamentary parody of Alice in Wonderland); and When William Came, subtitled A Story of London Under the Hohenzollerns, a fantasy about a future German invasion and occupation of Britain. "The Unrest-Cure" - Saki's recurring hero Clovis Sangrail, a clever, mischievous young man, overhears the complacent middle-aged Huddle complaining of his own addiction to routine and aversion to change. Huddle's friend makes the wry suggestion that he needs an "unrest-cure" (the opposite of a rest cure), to be performed, if possible, in the home. Clovis takes it upon himself to "help" the man and his sister by involving them in an invented outrage that will be a "blot on the twentieth century". Famous works of the author Saki: "The Interlopers", "Gabriel-Ernest", "The Schartz-Metterklume Method", "The Toys of Peace", "The Storyteller", "The Open Window", "The Unrest-Cure", "Esmé", "Sredni Vashtar", "Tobermory", "The Bull", "The East Wing".

Book Description
In Hypocrisy: An Oblivious Discriminatory Practice that Can Kill, Apostle Charles Dantzler prophetically raises his voice to put an end to the “hypocritical and discriminatory application of God’s Word that is so often found in and out of the church which drives people out or keeps them from coming in.” By combining gut-wrenching, edgy, true stories, surprising statistics, glossaries of terminologies that set things in order, and a strong Word of faith foundation, Brother Dantzler challenges the Body of Christ, both affirming and nonaffirming, to come up higher in excellence, compassion, and authenticity. He is overturning the tables of the hypocritical religious community and its usage of scripture to destroy lives. After reading this and having my own responses of tears, anger, laughter, and Holy Spirit–filled inspiration, I receive the challenge, once again, to come up higher and press in to the things that I know to be true and stand against the spirit of hypocrisy that destroys so many lives. —Bishop Randall Morgan, Covenant Network, Atlanta, Georgia Charles Dantzler has obtained an associate’s degree in business administration accounting in 2010 after twenty-five years of being away from school. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in computer information systems from Baker College-Flint campus. In addition, after founding and pastoring a church in Flint, Michigan, for thirty-two years, he retired from pastoring but not ministry in August of 2016. He now is a published author of five books and a couple of workbooks, which includes his very telling autobiography, Let the Truth Be Told: My Struggles, Your Struggles, the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Book Description
A takedown of the GOP’s deceitful propaganda machine from the blogger of Salon’s Unclaimed Territory and the author of the New York Times bestsellers How Would a Patriot Act? and A Tragic Legacy. Ever since the cowboy image of Ronald Reagan was sold to Americans, the Republican Party has used the same John Wayne imagery to support its candidates and take elections. We all know how they govern, but the right-wing propaganda machine is very adept at hijacking debate and marketing their candidates as effectively as the Marlboro Man. For example: Myth: The Republican nominee is an upstanding, regular guy who shares the values of the common man. Reality: He divorced his first wife in order to marry a young multimillionaire heiress whose family then funded his political career. Myth: Republicans are strong on defense and will keep us safe. Reality: They prey on fears, and their endless wars make America far less secure. Myth: Republicans are the party of fiscal restraint and small, limited government. Reality: Soaring deficits, unchecked presidential power, and an increasingly invasive surveillance state are par for their course. The first book to dissect the Republican Cult of Personality and leave it openly exposed in its unabashed, shameful depravity, Great American Hypocrites is a deeply necessary call-out to Democrats to attack the GOP with their competitor’s very own weapons. Praise for Great American Hypocrites “Intelligent, insightful.” —Daily Kos “Glenn Greenwald has done it again.” —Alan Colmes “Glenn Greenwald is a treasure.” —BuzzFlash
