Book Description
I set out to learn if translation of a text between languages weakens or enhances the meaning of the original text. I translated a poem from American Sign Language into English and then set that translation to music. I directed a high school choir as they sang the song in concert. I concluded that the meaning of the poem was liberated through the changes. Enclosed are my supporting project with appendices for my English translation, musical score, recording, and program from the concert.
