Book Description
We Are In This Together! Our Weaknesses Identified By: Dr. Donald Salem No one was supposed to know why or how. The scheme was brilliantly elaborate, prepared over the centuries. It took decades of research for Dr. Donald Salem to gain the clarity one needs to move forward. Being a Viet Nam veteran and studying/lecturing terrorism and antisemitism for over forty years gave him a perspective worth sharing. Thousands of facts were glued together with a parable of ecological terror across the USA. From this came five very angry survivors. They share his enormous and impressive findings in a story form about the monster, TerVol. But these facts are real and solid. It soon became a rollercoaster ride, revealing that our safety belt is our exceptionalism, tenacity, and values when the ride turns upside down. An additional safety belt is created by identifying our real allies. We learn much in three volumes especially about TerVol. The first book is “We Are in This Together! Vol I”. This volume, “We Are in This together! Our Weaknesses Identified”, brings us closer to making our own decisions guided by a vast amount of little-known information, clarity and reality. The upcoming volume, “We Are in This Together! Do the Right Thing” moves us to solid action to save our society and to protect our children’s future.

Book Description
The emerging Jewish national consciousness in Europe toward the end of the 19th century claims many spiritual fathers, some of which have been seriously underestimated so far. Zionist intellectuals such as Moses Hess, Leon Pinsker and Isaac Rülf were already committed to the self-liberation of the Jewish people long before Theodor Herzl. Their experiences and observations brought them to believe that the emancipation and integration of Jews were not realistically possible in Europe. Instead, they began to think in national and territorial terms. The author explores the question as to what extent religious messianism influenced the ideas of these men and how this reflects in today's collective Israeli consciousness. In a comprehensive epilogue, Julius H. Schoeps critically correlates ideas of messianic salvation, Zionist pioneer ideals, the settler's movement before and after 1967, and the unsolved conflict between Israelis and Palestinians which has been lasting for over 100 years.

Book Description
“The most comprehensive account of Israeli history yet published” (Efraim Karsh, The Sunday Telegraph). Fleeing persecution in Europe, thousands of Jewish immigrants settled in Palestine after World War II. Renowned historian Martin Gilbert crafts a riveting account of Israel’s turbulent history, from the birth of the Zionist movement under Theodor Herzl to the unexpected declaration of its statehood in 1948, and through the many wars, conflicts, treaties, negotiations, and events that have shaped its past six decades—including the Six Day War, the Intifada, Suez, and the Yom Kippur War. Drawing on a wealth of first-hand source materials, eyewitness accounts, and his own personal and intimate knowledge of the country, Gilbert weaves a complex narrative that’s both gripping and informative, and probes both the ideals and realities of modern statehood. “Martin Gilbert has left us in his debt, not only for a superlative history of Israel, but also for a restatement of the classic vision of Zion, in which a Middle East without guns is not a bedtime story but an imperative long overdue. This is the vision for which Yitzhak Rabin gave his life. This book is tribute to his memory.” —Jonathan Sacks, The Times (London)

Book Description
First published in 1978, Palestine: A Modern History traces the history of Palestine from the late nineteenth century to the outbreak of World War II. It examines the Palestinian Arab response to Jewish immigration and Zionist expansion in Palestine. From the outset the Palestinian Arabs viewed all Zionist activity in the country as foreign invasion and strongly resisted it. However, in 1917 the British occupation of Palestine entirely altered the political environment and the Palestinian response had to change accordingly. Based on both British and Arab primary sources this book develops a number of interesting arguments about the history of Mandate Palestine. It demonstrates the high level of political consciousness amongst the Palestinian Arabs and it shows the importance of social stratification in the nationalist movement. It also makes clear the incompatibility of the declared aims of British Policy with its implementation in Palestine. In this regard the book explores the important conflicts between the local mandatory authorities and the imperial policies adopted by the British government in London. This is an important historical reference work for scholars and researchers of Palestine studies, Middle East politics, peace and conflict resolution, and international relations.
