Book Description
Head lice is a prevalence health issue in many schools, especially with children between the ages of 3-10. A recommended head lice prevention treatment does not exist, at this point, however, some parents do use alternative options. The primary treatment option, which is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics at the first line treatment for head lice, is showing more and more resistant head lice strains. Although head lice does not typically cause severe complications, there are social stigmas and it can be a long, expensive process to eliminate and control the head lice. It is essential to educate school staff and for parents about head lice, proper treatment, how to delouse the environment, and effectively control the spread of head lice.
