Book Description
...the more we are in the light, doing good works of mercy-corporal or spiritual-the more we become more like Jesus. But we know that, already, right? Do we, now? Have we greeted Jesus in prayer this morning when we awoke; asked Him how He felt throughout the day; acknowledged Him by saying "hello" to someone; have we thought, said, or did something kind for someone; did we thank Him for giving us another day to enjoy; have we ever thanked Him for creating us and sustaining us; have we ever looked in the mirror and said we see a miracle? Ah, if only there was more time in the day Perhaps we are rationalizing to the point of leading ourselves into darkness? What is it we fear that we have to live in darkness so much? Could it be the bright, shining, warm light at the end of the tunnel? For those of us who don't try to live in the light: You won't have to worry about being blinded or scorched by the bright, shining, warm light at the end of the tunnel Michael J. Lorenzo is an ordained permanent deacon, now inactive, in the Roman Catholic Christian Church. He was instructed by some of the foremost exegetes and theologians in the United States and around the world. He is currently writing a novel and a book of inspirational short stories. Michael now lives in NJ with his wife after spending two mind-expanding years in Brazil. He has one daughter who lives in upstate NY.

Book Description
You no longer have to choose between what you know and what you believe—an accessible introduction to a theological game-changer. "I wrote this book for you if you want to be able to locate your life in a single, encompassing story, one that includes everything from the first moment the universe began until yesterday, a narrative that embraces deepest personal meaning, a yearning to love and be loved, a quest for social justice and compassion." —from the Introduction Much of what you were told you should believe when you were younger forces you to choose between your spirit and your intellect, between science and religion, between morality and dogma: unchanging laws of nature vs. miracles that sound magical; a good God vs. the tragedies that strike all living creatures; a God who knows the future absolutely vs. an open future that you help to shape through your choices. This fascinating introduction to Process Theology from a Jewish perspective shows that these are false choices. Inspiring speaker, spiritual leader and philosopher Rabbi Bradley Shavit Artson presents an overview of what Process Theology is and what it can mean for your spiritual life. He explains how Process Theology can break you free from the strictures of ancient Greek and medieval European philosophy, allowing you to see all creation not as this or that, us or them, but as related patterns of energy through which we connect to everything. Armed with Process insights and tools, you can break free from outdated religious dichotomies and affirm that your religiosity, your spirit, your mind and your ethics all strengthen and refine each other.

Book Description
Clives Staples Lewis (1898-1963) called his theological writings as that "of a layman and an amateur" who merely attempted to restate "ancient and orthodox doctrines." However, S. Steve Park argues that Lewis's theological reflections are well-informed, thoughtful and weighty. For instance, Lewis's notion of "mere Christianity" consistently shows his commitment to "supernaturalism" (vs. naturalism) and "eucatastrophic salvationism" (vs. ethical developmentalism) in sharp contrast to many prevailing theologians of his time. In this book, the author expounded Lewis's theological writings rather comprehensively and organized the results according to Lewis's signature literary motif of the journey towards home, in four stages: "Away from Home," "Homeward Turning," "Home Away from Home," and "The Final Home." Under these headings, Lewis's major theological and literary themes find illuminating treatments with rich contents and penetrating analyses. In so doing, the author presents to the readers, probably for the first time, a systematic theology of C. S. Lewis. It turns out that Lewis, more than just a storyteller, was a significant participant in the world of theological reflections, demonstrating himself to be a rather formidable theological mind to be reckoned with.
