When we are first born again (SAVED) we are a babe in CHRIST Jesus and we are just like an infant, we do not know anything at all. Well in Gods brilliance He gave us the Baptism in the Holy Ghost, to raise us up from babes in Christ Jesus, to become spiritual adults, by everything that the Holy Ghost teaches you. Yet many are not learning things from Him because of several reasons, sin in a Christian's life, a Christian shrugging off the Voice of the Holy Ghost as He tries to minister something unto you, as a Hearer of His Spirit. These things that a Child of God are shrugging off, is the very thing you are in need of.
