Book Description
Born in the cradle of upper-middle-class privilege in a Mumbai Parsi household and educated at one of India’s finest schools, KOBAD GHANDY’S life and career could have scaled heights in the bustling world of corporate finance. Only it did not. Instead, he chose to become an activist working for the oppressed of the country. Shocked by the racism he witnessed in the UK as a student and learning of the horrors of colonial rule in India, he determined to serve those struck the harshest by the cruel inequalities of his country. Fractured Freedom takes you through the journey of an honest man and his partner, Anuradha’s, to a difficult destiny. Here is the story of two people who dedicated their lives in the service of the marginalized, and who believed that true revolution required direct action for a more human and just society. Part memoir, part prison diary, Ghandy bares it all looking back at their lives, love, loss and politics, so intrinsically tied together. Having languished in Indian prisons for over a decade, he tells of his long incarceration, of his fellow prisoners, and of the Kafkaesque experiences with the Indian legal system. This is the candid and unfiltered account of how an unjust system breaks the brave and bold-hearted. A story of life in extremes – the height of privilege and the depth of despair, a story of our times, of a path many would shy away from.

Book Description
Living next to her overprotective brother’s best friend means her bucket list is going to be much harder to cross off. Is it so bad that I tricked my older brother’s best friend into taking my virginity? Maybe. In my defense, it was Dante Reid—my crush, my first love, and the one I ended up pushing away. Our paths split in opposite directions. I went to college on one coast while he returned to work with the US Army on the other. The end. Or so I thought. After graduating and attempting a bucket list of self-discovery, guess who I find standing outside the jail, bailing me out from a crime I didn’t commit? Dante freaking Reid—this time with more muscles, more tattoos, and more demands. One of which is to move in across the hall from him so he can keep me safe. Like I need protection after a little felony mix-up. I don’t. Unless it’s from him. Because Dante has been my downfall before … And living next to the guy I gave my innocence to a long time ago may actually end in my complete devastation.

Book Description
How does what happened 2000 years ago in the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ radically alter the human nature and life situation of men and women in every generation up to the present day? Pursuit of this question provided the initial impetus for this book, a study of two vital themes pertaining to the doctrine of atonement - representation and substitution. The author explores their meaning and role within the theologies of three significantly diverse contemporary theologians - Dorothee Sölle, John Macquarrie, and Karl Barth - concluding with a comparative analysis of all three perspectives in relation to each other.
