Book Description
Excerpt from Footprints in My Own Life The great Brick meeting-house, erected the year before I was born, which still stands precisely as it was originally built, without the addition or sub traction of a single thing, always solemnized my thoughts as I passed, and seemed to say to me, in tender tones, be good. Beside the meeting-house, in the plain, quiet graveyard, lay my ancestors for generations, and I used to tread the grounds of the sacred inclosure with almost superstitious reverence, as it seemed to me but a short step from that place to the eternal world. Everyone experiences drama and unexpected changes in their lives. Weve all exulted and endured. Weve had loves and losses. Weve tasted joys and sorrows and successes and setbacks. But each person reacts differently to these issues. In Our Emotional Footprint author Dr. Saul Levine examines humans reactions to relationships, life changes, and unexpected events. Levine introduces ten unique people who are passengers in a single rail car and details their fascinating life stories. He looks at how the passengers fared at different points in their lives, how they may have been courageous at times and fearful at others, or were both caring and callous at different times. Through the lens of the four Bsbeing, belonging, believing, and benevolenceOur Emotional Footprint examines their lives and our own, how theyve affected others in the course of their lives, and how they may have been resilient in the face of defeat and gracious in times of success. Book Description
Most of us have our version of simpler days--a bubble-like period when life was easy-going and untroubled. We had no responsibilities, mortgages, or debt, along with healthy bodies and sharp minds. Sunscreen was optional. Good hearing was a given. You could do flips off the diving board at the local public pool whenever you felt like it. Today... the only flip I ever do is the one where I slip on the ice to shovel my sidewalk. So... I challenge you to remember your childhood, pick your own story. We all have one, even if it's buried somewhere deep in the confines of our memories. Simple things... like -- hanging out at the local pizza joint. Playing in the street with all of your friends, memories of little league baseball games and ice skating at the local pond. It's remembering biking across town, playing chase, trying not to get caught by anyone. Not to mention the moment you realized that girls weren't as yucky as you once thought they were. Over the past few years, I looked back on my teenage years and discovered that I still see the footprints I once laid down in my small hometown. These footprints left an indelible mark on my life and these stories of my youth left behind an imprint that I carry to this day. Life is about returning. Returning home. I find myself on a journey to find my way home. My success is now more or less found in being a good man. A good husband. A good father. A good grandfather and a good servant of God. This is where home is for me now. I hope you enjoy more stories of my youth and I hope they inspire you to tell yours.

Book Description
As I leave my time on this earth I know that my footprints on it are silent, invisible and impermanent upon its surface. My existence is only recorded by those I've known in my life in their memories of me. These too are impermanent and will in time fade and become no more. This is the cycle of life. I write this book as a personal record of my viewpoints, interpretations of what I have viewed and experienced whilst on my earth walk. My motivation to write it is like many before me and many more after I am gone. To leave a vision in print for others to reference to or use as a signpost towards a path upon which they might like to journey themselves. I write this book of reference mainly for my sons, for when I am gone they will in time forget my voice of guidance and this book will be a way of keeping my teachings and guidance available for them to tap into if they need once I am no longer here physically. I began to write this book in the year 2007. I am now reaching my mid 40's and am beginning to start my reflective years of living. My generation has been given the name of the X generation, which is interesting due to the content of my book falling into the X factor. However if you ask my sons they would have you believe that I'm well into being OLD. In history men and women were respected in their elder years as the tribes and cultures of those times valued their wisdom, which they contributed to the younger members of the tribe. Storytelling was a valued tradition as it was in that time the only way to hand down knowledge so it could continue on through the younger generations. In our modern society this tradition is considered barbaric and youth is valued now and society continues to endorse how to stay YOUNG!

Book Description
No one, even myself, ever thought I would and could write poetry. Yet with God, all things are possible! I have seen more tragedy and death in my life than I would hope no other person ever has to go through. However, through these things, God has brought me out victorious. I have not been perfect, no, not even close. I have fallen short many times in my life, yet God is always there to forgive and guide me home. I can never thank Jesus enough for all He has done for me! After the loss of my wife of forty-three years, I felt so alone and hurt. God comforted me and sent to me a wonderful Christian lady to be my love again. It has been a wonderful miracle to see how God does care and loves each one of us and knows what we need in this life. "Making Your Own Footprints in the Sand" was my first real poem and has always been my favorite, and it continues to help me and guide me through life's good days and stormy days. At the end of this book, I give several thoughts that God has given me over the years. I hope and pray they bless you as well! These poems, I pray, will achieve the following: * Give you peace in things we'll all go through in life. * Help you think about the "good things" that are in life. * Build your faith and confidence in the Word and in God. * Inspire your mind to write, preach, teach, or just give you some joy. Thank you and God bless you for reading!
