Book Description
Lt. Col. Robert “Buzz” Patterson exposes the terrifying, behind-the-scenes story of the years when the most irresponsible President in our history had his finger on the nuclear trigger. Dereliction of Duty is the inside story of the damage Bill Clinton did to the U.S. military and how he compromised our national security. From his laughable salutes, to his arrogant, anti-military staffers, the message came through loud and clear: the Clinton Administration had nothing but contempt for America’s men and women in uniform. For two years, Patterson was the White House military aide who carried the “nuclear football,” which provides the President with remote nuclear strike capabilities. What he witnessed is shocking. Dereliction of Duty is the book every American concerned about our national security has been waiting for—written by a military man who was an eyewitness inside the Clinton White House, and who can no longer in good conscience keep silent.

Book Description
Food loss reduction is part of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12 "Responsible Production and Consumption" in Target 12.3: "By 2030, halve per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels and reduce food losses along production and supply chains, including post-harvest losses". The SDG indicator monitoring food loss is under the custodianship of FAO, which developed an international food loss estimation model to report food losses and tackle scarce data availability and limited country-produced survey-based data. This paper presents first the resulting global food loss percentage for 2021, the percentages by SDG regions and food groups, describes available input data gathered from different sources (official, external databases and literature), and the methodology used to produce the estimates.

Book Description
This volume presents the results of a series of fieldwalking surveys and excavations of Iron Age and Romano-British sites in two areas of the Salisbury Plain Training Area. Altogether some 18 new settlement sites were discovered of which 13 were Romano-British, three were predominantly Iron Age, and two produced evidence of Middle-Late Bronze Age occupation. Small-scale excavation was undertaken at eight enclosures and field systems, accompanied by targeted environmental sampling. An increase in enclosure through to the later Iron Age was revealed, when there was evidence for settlement abandonment followed by a further development of unenclosed settlement and the emergence of nucleated villages such as Chisenbury Warren in the Late Iron Age and through the Romano-British period.

Book Description
Salisbury Cathedral, a famously beautiful work of ecclesiastical architecture, was erected within about 40 years in a single style (Early English Gothic), the only substantial additions being the tower and spire, which were completed by about 1330. Tim Tatton-Brown reveals the story of how a great medieval cathedral was built, from the laying of the very first foundations in 1219 to the completion of the great spire, the tallest in Britain at 122 metres high. Drawing on history and geology as well as his expertise in architecture, he shows the wider context of the building, situating its development against the background of English politics of successive ages. He covers with similar authority the relatively few later changes to the structure, right up to the recent installation of a fine new font. His text is accompanied by outstanding new photographs by John Crook, along with drawings, engravings and other illustrations. Contents: Beginnings Preparing for a new cathedral The first phase Bishop Richard's 'New Basilica' The eastern arm, choir and presbytery The completion of the cathedral The chapter house and cloister Building the tower and spire The late Middle Ages, Tudor and early Stuart periods Restoration
