L'objectif de ce travail de recherche était d'évaluer les connaissances des étudiants du Rhône sur la vaccination anti-papillomavirus et cela, selon le parcours scolaire et professionnel qu'ils ont suivi. La population d'étude comprend des étudiants des deux sexes, universitaires et d'écoles privés du Rhône, de 18 et 19 ans. Cette étude quantitative a été menée par un questionnaire anonyme à question fermées. Ce dernier a été distribué par différentes méthodes : en main propre à 43 étudiants, par mail et par les réseaux sociaux Facebook et Twitter pour les autres. Les résultats de l'analyse des questionnaires montrent que la vaccination est connue par 88.2 des étudiants interrogés, et la personne leur délivrant l'information pour la majorité est le médecin généraliste, puis les parents. En analysant les réponses individuellement, les connaissances des étudiants sont globalement satisfaisantes mise à part la question de l'indication de la vaccination après le début des premiers rapports sexuels ainsi qu'une confusion globale sur les infections sexuellement transmissibles. Paradoxalement, le statut vaccinal des étudiants reste très inférieur aux 80 espérés par le plan cancer 201472019, l'étude ayant pourtant montré un lien entre le statut vaccinal et la connaissance de la vaccination. Enfin, l'orientation professionnelle des étudiants semble avoir un impact sur leurs connaissances à propos de la vaccination. La connaissance de la vaccination par les étudiants est liée à la leur parcours professionnel et à leur statut vaccinal, mais leurs bonnes connaissances sur le sujet ne les poussent pas à se faire vacciner pour autant. Ainsi, il serait intéressant de se pencher sur les facteurs psychologiques liés aux comportements de préventions afin de leur délivrer une information ayant un impact positif sur cette vaccination, qui constitue un enjeu de santé publique.
