Eleven runs were conducted at low radioactivity levels (initial iodine-131 and xenon-133 concentrations ranging from 1 to 260 uCi/1) in the Contamination-sampling fission product aerosols. In these runs, a single radionucline (iodine-1313 or xenon-133) was injected into a steam-air atmosphere in the 2.4-m3 operation of emergency core cooling, pressure reduction, or filter safety systems, was sampled during pressure and temperature transients representative of those expected for a reactor loss of-of-coolant accident.
