Introduction : L'expulsion dentaire est un déplacement complet de la dent hors de son alvéole, avec rupture du paquet vasculo-nerveux et de l'intégrité du ligament alvéolo-dentaire. C'est l'un des traumatismes dentaires les plus sévères. L'objectif principal de cette étude a été d'évaluer l'état des connaissances des médecins (internes et séniors) qui exercent aux services d'urgence générale de l'APHM dans le cadre de la prise en charge des patients victimes d'une expulsion dentaire. Matériel et méthode : Un questionnaire a été envoyé par mail aux coordonnateurs des services de médecine d'urgence de l'APHM qui étaient chargés à leur tour de le diffuser auprès de leurs équipes. Les médecins ont également été sollicités via des groupes sur les réseaux sociaux. Résultats : Les médecins avaient conscience que le pronostic dentaire est fortement dépendant du temps extra alvéolaire et du milieu de conservation. Mais peu connaissait le délai à partir duquel le pronostic dentaire est engagé. Il persistait des lacunes quant au protocole de prise en charge de l'expulsion de la dent temporaire. Ils étaient peu nombreux à connaître les contre-indications à la réimplantation en fonction de l'état général du patient. La majorité des médecins a montré un intérêt pour une mise à niveau sur le sujet. Conclusion : Des mises à niveau en traumatologie dentaire auprès des médecins sont nécessaires pour améliorer la prise en charge des patients traumatisés.
