Where employment and industrial relations are concerned, the Labour Code (LC) is the essential statutory piece of legislation and it also integrates the main provisions in the field of gender equality and non-discrimination principle on other grounds related to employment. In the field of employment and industrial relations (including in relation to gender equality and non-discrimination principles in this field), collective agreements are also a key element of the system, but they cannot go against mandatory legal provisions.
