Objectif : L'enseignement des techniques propres à l'examen clinique du nouveau-né se heurte à plusieurs difficultés. Les étudiants concernés par cet examen sont de plus en plus nombreux. En outre, les parents sont plutôt réticents à laisser les étudiants manipuler leur enfant. Les cours pratiques restent ainsi limités. L'objectif de ce film est de servir comme un outil pédagogique complémentaire pour pallier à ces difficultés. Matériel et méthode : Ce travail a colligé parmi les bébés nés entre novembre 2001 et septembre 2003 ceux qui préentaient, soit des anomalies considérées comme des variantes de la normale, soit des pathologies nécessitant une prise en charge spécialisée. En outre, des bébés normaux ont été sélectionnés pour illustrer les techniques de l'examen. Au total 37 bébés ont été inclus. Le film a compris 9 heures de tournage et le montage s'est fait par un ordinateur macintoch power book G4 et par logiciel "final cut pro 3". Résultats : Le film, d'une durée de 30 minutes, comprend 11 chapitres. Le premier chapitre est consacré aux conditions de l'examen. Les 10 autres chapitres détaillent chacun les techniques de l'examen de chaque organe ainsi que les spécificités du nouveau-né. Conclusion : Ce film n'a pas la prétention de remplacer, mais de représenter un moyen complémentaire de qualité à l'enseignement traditionnel de l'examen clinique du nouveau-né.

The linguistic integration of migrants affects every aspect of settling in a new country (employment, health, etc.). The aim of this collection of texts is to propose a number of specific measures member states can take to help adult migrants become acquainted with the language of the host country. The main focus is on organising language courses that meet migrants’ real communication needs. It is not enough for authorities simply to consider the technical aspects of such courses, they should also design and conduct them in accordance with the fundamental values of the Council of Europe. A number of issues concerning the linguistic integration of adult migrants are presented here, beginning with the notion of linguistic integration itself. Family reunion, the nature of citizenship and the function of language tests, among others, are dealt with from the point of view of language and language use. Readers are invited to reflect on the type of language competences that need to be acquired as well as an appropriate use of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
