La maladie d’Alzheimer est principalement décrite comme présentant des troubles de la mémoire épisodique, avec une altération plus tardive des fonctions cognitives. Notre étude se voulait donc la démonstration de la place prépondérante des troubles du langage dès la phase « prodromale » de la maladie. Pour cela nous avons souhaité observer le langage sous plusieurs de ses facettes. C’est pourquoi nous avons réuni cinq tests afin de créer une batterie pouvant participer au diagnostic précoce de la MA. Nous avons donc fait passer une épreuve de fluence sémantique et lexicale, une épreuve d’appariement des synonymes, une épreuve de langage écrit (sous forme de dictée), une épreuve de compréhension et une épreuve de dénomination à 30 sujets sains ainsi qu’à neuf patients atteints de la maladie d’Alzheimer. Nous voulions donc étudier l’efficacité de cet assemblage de test, ainsi que la pertinence des différents domaines langagiers étudiés à un stade précoce. Les mémoires réalisés précédemment sur l’élaboration de certaines de ces épreuves démontraient déjà l’intérêt de l’étude de ces aspects dans la maladie d’Alzheimer. Notre étude reste dans la continuité de ces observations, en pointant également la sensibilité des épreuves de fluence et de dénomination. Le faible nombre de patients réunis ne nous a cependant pas permis de réaliser une étude statistique et de dégager une norme à notre batterie de tests. Toutefois, même si nous n’avons pu prouver l’efficacité de notre batterie, une analyse des différents tests auprès de notre population témoin nous a permis d’apporter des modifications au test de langage écrit et de compréhension qui nous paraissaient pertinentes. Notre étude peut ouvrir la voie à la réalisation d’autres épreuves sensibles aux troubles précoces de la maladie d’Alzheimer, ainsi qu’à la création d’une batterie de test plus complète et finalisée.
